Vice President of Public Relations and Communications of the Dallas Cowboys Rich Dalrymple on how long of a day Monday night is for them trying to make sure players stay out of trouble so they get to media day:

"It's a little nerveracking because it's the one night that you know the players have off because Tuesday is their day off. All they have to do Tuesday is media day."

"I remember back in Atlanta sitting in the limo with Jimmie Johnson getting ready to go to media day. It was about 5:30 in the morning it seemed like because the traffic was so bad. We're waiting for the buses to leave and the trainer comes down and said, "Coach, we have a couple guys that got in a little late last night. One of them is laying face down on the bed, he's breathing, but I think he might be late for media day. Jimmie said, 'Well, what did he say when you woke him up?' The trainer said that the player said, 'Did we win the game?'

Daopoulos added that he believed that the grading of some officials, including Boger, was altered because the league had a predetermined assignment in mind.

Well, that isn't really something you want to read... although it obviously isn't some kind of sinister plot, it'd just be nice if the officials who graded the best were there instead of predetermined guys.

Deion Sanders trying to make a major issue of Alex Smith not having a podium. Glad Smith isn't taking the bait.

Nathan Jahnke:

While the Kapernick and Flacco have been two of the best deep throwers this year, the 49ers/Ravens both also have 2 of the best deep pass Ds

49ers have allowed just 22 of 80 deep passes to be caught, and have more interceptions at 6 then TDs allowed at 5 on deep passes.

Ravens fairly similar, allowing just 24 of 83 passes, 6 TDs allowed and 5 interceptions on deep passes

Randy Moss said he's the greatest all-time WR. To which @JerryRice just said, "Put my numbers up against his numbers."

Why were the backdrops Ravens purple for all the podiums for media day? Aren't we the home team? Or switch them for the respective teams? Or pick a neutral color?

Andrew Brandt:

Remember trying to trade for Randy during '07 Draft. We wouldn't do one-yr deal, didn't want rental. NE would. Brett was livid.

He was Vice President of the Packers from 99-08.

If you think Randy Moss is the best WR of all-time, I'm going to guess you're under 20 years old or a delusional fan. #Rice80

Love it. Love it.

First time I ever saw head coach take charge to get his team lined up for team photo. Jim Harbaugh lined @49ers up himself.
