Take away the blown saves and where do we sit in the standings? We hit way over our heads the first half. We just came back to reality the second half. We have needed better pitching from our bullpen with late leads and have not gotten it.

I agree with that but if ur pitching is giving up 2-4 runs /game ur line-up with 4 allstars u should be winning those games

If that's the case, the cold truth might be this:

The same Buck Showalter that led the Orioles to a 2012 postseason might be costing the team a 2013 postseason berth. (Read: Jim Johnson's stats would otherwise be acceptable in the bullpen if the closer role were given to someone else as early as May. Granted, it's partly the players' fault as well for failing to perform-- but the manager is also partially responsible for not trying everything possible to minimize the impact from the weaknesses of the players he's stuck with.)
