I live four hours outside of BKK. Quiet village on the ocean where I can relax.

I'm so tired of the whining about OT. Just win the game in regulation.

I'm starting to think the college approach is best where at least the opportunity given each team is the same until there's a winner. There's a slight advantage for whoever possesses the ball second, but that changes each round until one team wins.

Last time I was in Bangkok was 1971. My guess is that it's changed a little over the past 52 years.

Best night I ever spent over there was in a downtown Scrub and Rub for $20 and the girl was more than happy to spend the night for a $20 TIP.
Incredible food.

I quit drinking on New Years Day 1970. Haven't since.

I would stand other Guys' watches all day in port . Easy $80 a day while they were all getting drunk. I'd spend one night in town with a young lady(?) just to take the pressure off. Only got to Bangkok once or twice during an entire tour and that was to buy stuff for the Ship's Store to resell. $20 was a bunch of cash back then.

Flight Pay = $55 mo
E-4 (Over 3) = $364 mo

20 Pesos = $1 (Phillipines)
365 Yen = $1 (Japan)
$6 HK = $1 (Hong Kong)
$ 0.65 Aus =$1 (Austrailia)

Minus $100 a month I sent home to my mother and father that was matched by the gov't when I was in the combat zone.

Wasn't too difficult to mature pretty quick in those days.
