Anybody here where a watch anymore?
I usually WEAR a Garmin Fenix 3. It tracks all my steps, stairs, heart rate, sleep etc...etc...

Before that it was my G-Shock for daily wear. Love that thing.

My favorite watch by far is my Citizen Titanium EcoDrive. Loses about 1 minute a year, so accuracy is great. Water "resistant to a couple atmosphere's, virtually indestructible, great looking and super comfortable.

Lastly, my wife bought me a Tag Heuer Indy 500 Watch for my 40th. Beautiful watch but not as comfortable as the citizen, and it takes batteries that need to be replaced every few years.

I also have a Seiko Chronograph I inherited from my dad, just like this:
Vintage Seiko Pogue 6139 Automatic Chronograph Pepsi bezel 6139-6005 Watch | eBay

Another Seiko that is just a clock face, another Citizen Eco Drive Gold vs Titanium, and another old battery Citizen.

Might be another one or two...

An old Chinese guy I met in Hing Kong had a great saying.

"Women collect expensive shoes. Men collect expensive watches. Shoes can't tell you what time it is, other than to take them off."

I don't wear one now. But still have a small collection. When I was still living stateside I wore one daily. Had about 40 different makes, styles, engines... None super expensive. I only kept a handful. Sold most. Just too hot to wear in the tropics minus special occassions.

I do miss wearing and buying them.

So are you still living outside CONUS? When I was in the service Hawaiians always said that they lived on "The Islands". A couple of Alaskans always said they lived "Above Canada" or "Over the Top".

Yep, semi retired living in the land of smiles. No intention of moving back. Especially with all the craziness there. Will visit friends and family on occassion but that's it.

When I was in the Middle East, it was traditional for Americans to say they were from Canada.
I made a group of international friends in an Irish Pub in Doha. I once asked if there are any Americans here that aren't from Canada?

My boss in Okinawa gave me a very nice watch. After Thanking him, I threw it in a drawer. I have broken it out for complicated travel itineraries but don't generally like to wear anything.

Talking about "craziness" while living in Thailand is amusing!

I'm still wearing a Timex expedition, tough watch.
Been through 4 or more bands and lots of batteries.
