Yep, Stafford made that gunslinger throw last night, straight from the hip, on a rope for 30 yards in a milli-second. I don't think there is any other guy in the league that could have made that throw.

I haven't seen enough of Anthony Richardson or Trey Lance as starters in the NFL to include them but based on college they both have elite arm strength.

Trevor Lawrence also has a rifle. He'd be top 3 in most eras

Overall he's one of the most talented players in the league. He has a live arm but I don't think of him in the elite class.

Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, and Anthony Richardson pretty much immediately puts him on that bubble. Some other guys like Love, Lawrence, and Stafford would give Lamar a run for his money in pure armstrength.

Lamar is an A tier arm, not an S. I think the first four names are pretty indisputable in that they have bigger arms than Lamar.

Really? I think Lawrence has a cannon for an arm. He throws the deep out route as well as any QB in the league.
They should bring back the old school QB challenge where you saw who had the best arm in terms of distance throws

Eh, Mahomes' range is ~80-85 yards. You don't pull off as many weird angles as he does without some pretty insane armstrength. Just more horizontal than Allen.

I think Allen and Mahomes can easily hit 75 yards. On the right day with the right conditions they both challenge 80. Allen, Herbert and Mahomes have historically great arms.

And nobody actually measured.

They used to have a QB competition in which guys were asked to throw it as far as they can.

63 to 65 yards was almost always the top end. Throwing a ball 70 yards is extremely hard.

I think Mahomes would tap out at about 68.
