I think they changed some rule (didnt even know there was one) so he cant win it. Which is BS.

They had to change it because of Geno and Flacco. I think they thought the spirit of the award should be more clearly because of injury. Even Flacco was noticeably embarrassed about winning it over Hamlin.

I would give it to O'Connell, because no one was expecting the Vikings to be good, much less win 13 games and nearly capture the top seed in the NFC.

Well the fact Flacco wasnt even rostered a whole season was the reason to be embarrassed. Not for improvement.

Changed my vote to Campbell. Won the best division and I dont think he dropped in any games in that division. Goff was a discard from the Rams. Lots of talent on the team from being bad for so long and also drafting well but they also had a good amount of injuries.

I'll give the nod to Campbell but I hate how often this award goes to the coach that has his team play above expectations. Coach of the year should go to the guy that truly did the best job. Reid deserves more credit for the season the Chiefs just had. Some luck helped them along the way but good teams find ways to win those close games and the Chiefs made the plays when needed. They also had quite a few injuries this year compared to years past but it didn't stop them from winning and earning the right to sit most of their starters in the final week of the season.

Campbell though to have the season the Lions did with all their injuries in the toughest division is down right impressive.
