The Rangers have played six games all on the road, Play tonight at Winnipeg and don't play their first home game until Thursday when they host Toronto.

That seems messed up is MSG being renovated or something?

I know somebody that works at MSG and they said it is completely different than how it used to be. Which is a good thing because, yes the lighting was terrible there, felt like taking a nap any time I was at a game.

Also, I love how last year they had to cancel either a Rangers or Knicks game, I forget which, because they found asbestos. Then you never heard about it again. That doesn't seem like the type of thing you can take care of over the weekend. Somebody got paid to keep their mouth shut.

That's for sure, when they took down The Aud here it took them longer to remove the asbestos than it did to take down the structure itself.

Depends how they handled it and where/what the problem was. If you have to REMOVE asbestos, then it will take a long time because you have to pull out the materials with asbestos, clean the contaminated area, and then replace whatever you removed. But sometimes you can just SEAL in the asbestos and trap it inside/underneath whatever you are sealing over top of it.

On a related subject though, it seems like hockey schedules are generally very whacky compared to other major sports.

Right now the Penguins have played 10 games while three other teams in their division have only played 6. I wonder if a "Games in Hand" or "Possible Points to Gain" would be a useful Standings chart column.

Compare the NHL to the NBA where EVERY team presently has played the exact same number of games. ;)

That was a request of the rest of the hockey world. There are too many people there that we should not have to look at:puke:

i wish the NHL would take a hint from EA and list teams by percentage of points (points gained / points possible).. i thought that was a good way to do it

Well, Boss, the bright side for them is at some point, they will have a bunch of home games later on....plus the fact they play in the Atlantic where all the teams are bunched together geographically, means less travel overall for the team.
Probably will work to their advantage as they fight with Philly and Pitt for the Atlantic division.
