Stock up, stock down: Chicago-Washington

Pretty much agree with the opinions here, well despite the 'brilliant' opinion of the Genius on HHCD's play. I'm more disturbed tho by the stock down on two of our OL. We need that entire line to perform at that very best each week. As for Cohen, that pretty nifty RAC which resulted in a 24 yard gain saved what otherwise was a pretty ragged night. I'm quite surprised at how ineffective he's been to date. Nagy needs to find more creative ways to utilize those skills - and running up the gut is NOT one of them.

Daniels doesn't worry me. It's a big transition back to his college position. You have to give him some leeway early on. Long does a bit. He's been banged up a lot in his career and he's no spring chicken anymore.

Cohen is fine on an individual basis. There's utterly zero reason to believe his skill set has declined. It's just that the way Nagy has utilized our RB's is sort of mind blowing and makes very little sense. Why is everything so different from last year with our run game? It wasn't like this. Everything is so damn cute.

I used to think Howard handcuffed Nagy a bit with his limitations in the passing game. Maybe he actually kept him in check? Because boy oh boy.... is he having fun playing with his new toys or what? Holy shit.

He has to realize that sometimes it's okay to be boring and run your best RB up the middle or off tackle for 4 yards 15-20 times per game. I actually like the Patterson package. It's working. However, there is ZERO reason that he should get as many touches as Montgomery through an entire half of football. Especially a game that we lead by multiple scores.

Nagy's creativity shined through at a variety of different points in the Washington game. That's awesome. If only he would come to the realization that he doesn't always have to be this "modern football" genius.

Stop running Cohen up the center's ass. Lay off the RPO's a bit. That's all I ask.
