He's still a good RB and will fit nicely in Pittsburgh. Much needed with the Bell suspension. Will have no trouble stepping back when Bell comes back....
I agree... At 31 years old, this is probably the best thing for D-Will. He'll be making $2mil/yr while being a backup. What better way to end your career by riding out a solid deal and playing in a limited role? He'll likely retire healthy without suffering any more injuries along the way.
We'll see.. They revised a by-law to the substance-abuse policy recently so that makes Bell the "test case" for it. It states something like first offenders for DUI's are subject to a 2-game suspension, but if "other substances" are involved it extends to 4 games. Not an exact quote but you get the point. I wouldn't be surprised to see the NFL set the standard by suspending Bell for ALL 4 games.
