Moved some posts to the Minnesota thread in the TB.
Will depend on who they get as their new coach. Do you know yet which Division you'll be in?This is going to be very ugly for OU short term, and by that I mean a couple years.
I figure it'll look like this...Do you know yet which Division you'll be in?

Preseason Heisman favorite Rattler leaving OU
Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler announced on Monday that he is entering the transfer portal. Joining him there will be wideout Jadon Haselwood.www.espn.com
What's the other west pod then?None of that will be announced until they are ready to move but it is widely believed that there will 4 team pods in place. Word is that A&M was pacified by being told that they would not be in the pod with Texas so what is being put out there is OU, Texas, Arkansas and Missouri.
Arkansas, Missouri, OU, UT & A&M, LSU maybe? How many of those used to be in the old SWC was it called? Miss and MSU are the only two in that Division that seem a little out of placeI figure it'll look like this...
West
Arkansas, LSU, Miss St, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Texas, Texas A&M
East
Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, So Carolina, Vanderbilt

Because teams don't play enough now and with pods you can at least remedy that a bit....Why not just do 8 team divisions, with 2 cross-division games?

Who was big12 originally taking until gov richards stepped in and forced bailer on them....tcu?Arkansas, Texas, and Texas A&M were in the old Southwest Conference (SWC).
Baylor, Houston, Rice, SMU, TCU, and Texas Tech were the others. Its last season was 1995.
Brent Venables to be announced as the new coach at OU this afternoon
What's aTm saying about being with Texas again? Sorry should probably start a different thread but I was just curious since I didn't think they liked being in a conference with Texas at all.I figure it'll look like this...

Venables would be perfect.Something of note, OU has hired exactly one coach with head coaching exierience since 1935. That was Howard Schnellenburger who was fired in one season. I don’t see OU going outside of the Bob Stoops circle of influence. Brent Venebles is a big possibility.
Pleeeeeease.15 million in SoCal is a lot different than 15 million in Alabama.
A&M was promised before that the SEC won’t associate with Texas. So I’m guessing they’re not too happy right now. What's aTm saying about being with Texas again?
