What was Finn going to tell Rey? It wasn't I love you because he has a thing with Rose and connected with a girl later in the movie so that was unresolved.

Told ya

Wouldn't be shocked if this isn't a theme for some new movies a few years from now; Finn becomes a Jedi or Sith or Grey. or whatever.

I know Finn was the good guy and broke away from being a storm trooper and all but I can see him turning and becoming an emperor. Especially now that's its confirmed he could "feel/sense" the force. Little surprised Rey didn't figure that out. It was an odd pairing between Finn, Rey and the mechanic chick who liked Finn. You honestly couldn't tell who was gonna bang who.

I thought it was a good movie, not a great movie.

As others commented few moments were a little too cheesy for me, but I'll deal with it.

I thought they did a good job with character arc with Rey.

There were few plot holes (what an intergallactic movie with space wizards has plot holes) and unanswered questions about Sith fleet IMO, but oh well

1. I thought the Lando parts were written well but Billy Dee didn't put enough energy into it. Disappointed.

2. Thought something was off with Chewy. Can't put my complete finger on it but wasn't satisfied with how the character was handled or looked all the time.

3. I think JJ hit 50% on selling the emotional part of the film with half of the big dramatic scenes not having enough energy.

Overall it was a good ending and I put ESB as the absolute high point of the 9 film saga and Episode I as the low.

I'm actually glad their taking a break but also sorry we won't be seeing Rey's next chapter.

Depends on how you define "break". Because in January, they're suppose to announce a new Star Wars movie. Now there's no details yet. They could announce the project with a date (probably a year or two out) or maybe just the project with no date (meaning we're still years and years away)

Just got back from seeing thought it was good and that they did a good job of wrapping it up. The origin of Rey I think tied in really well with the whole series.

Didn't having Palpatine, Snoke, and Kylo Ren all around at the same time violate the rule of 2?

Don't like the title since well she isn't a Skywalker

I'm really thinking Finn wanted to tell Rey he could feel the force. Since he didn't say to her what he wanted to say that has to be playing into another Star Wars movie

Think Palpatine wasn't really around until he pulled a Voldemort.

But your guess is as good as mine.

It's a dumb rule anyway.

Yeah and a total retcon of the original trilogy when it was later introduced. The Emperor and Vader conspired to have Luke join them. Sure they were both more than willing to double-cross each other with Luke's help but they were both pretending to want Luke to join them and make a trio. So I guess maybe after Maul and Dooku Palpetine said "Fuck this Rule of 2".

Absolute pile of shit. I saw some Japan/China hack of it... (not paying for that shit) and good lord. Super cheesy, the force powers made zero sense, the movie seemed like it was trying to induce seizures because it kept jumping around non-stop between plot lines. Driver was the only good thing about the movie. Ridley seemed completely uninterested in her performance along with everyone else.

I guess there was a saving grace, we didn't have to see a ton of fatass Rose Dorko.

End of day the plot made zero sense, and the story had me saying, "WHAT?!" so many times. Basically Disney barfed a bunch of lightsabers and cute droids on the screen with zero clue how they were approaching this franchise let alone final episode... and it ended up completely trash. 3/10 - the effects and sound were good.

Kathleen 'Darth' Kennedy needs to be fired ASAP. LOL at JJ Abrams hiring his piece, Keri 'the ass' Russell for monetary boost. $20 he got laid for that, lol.

Spoilers...

Daisy Ridley didn't go nude and show off her ass. There, you have zero reason to watch it.

I have to wonder if all these positive fan reviews are due to folks not wanting to admit they just wasted $10-12 / ticket + 3 hours + 40 years of their life for one of the worst movie making jobs ever. Hard to believe this is the same director that put together decent Star Trek movies. Disney & Kathy fucked up this guy's talent. Sad.
