Bruce Arians on Stafford. Doesn’t sound like the weenie garbage man does it?

“He’s one of my all-time favorite guys,” Arians told reporters regarding Stafford. “He’s tough as nails. Like I said the other day, he’s one of the few quarterbacks I like going out and watching warm up. Just watching him throw because he’s so special. I’ve always felt like he was one of the top four or five guys in this league for a long time. Like I said, he’s tough as nails and his guys know it. They know he’s going to suck it up for them.”

Nothing in that tweet surprises me in the least. That's why I feel like he's a middle of the road quarterback at best and never deserved anywhere close to the amount of money we gave him in that contract.

Lol I love it when the Seahhawk fans are worried. He and Russ Wilson are the same age. Again, the one first rounder was for Stafford. The 2nd was to move Goff’s contract

How are Rashaad Penny, LJ Collier, and Jordyn Brooks doing for you?

Worried ? I worry about every team in our division ! Toughest division in the NFL

According to Ramswire, McVay called the Limp Biscuit and asked for permission to push this deal through. He got the go ahead. There are many reasons Goff was going to get traded this off-season. Many have already been chronicled on this thread. Goff lost his relationship with his head coach last year and this year he lost the respect of his teammates for reasons that have already been posted.

I predict Goff will die in Detroit because all of his props are gone that facilitated some of his success and it takes two to three years to replace all of that. With Goff's slowness of nearly aspect of the game, he is going to lead the league in TOs again. Brad Holmes and Ray Agnew, now in Detroit's FO with GM Pelissario, wanted this deal as well. McVay was more than willing to oblige them

Also, if you think about it, McVay is getting rid of the remaining players Fisher drafted unless they perform up to McVay's standards of excellence which the league has determined to be legendary. There are only four left: AD, Brockers, Havenstein, and Tyler Higbee. Blythe was drafted by the Colts but he should be sent packing as well.

Unlike Goff, who was the last number one pick the Rams had and that Fisher drafted with, all four players have improved each year and of course AD is just a freak of nature. The last two QBs Fisher drafted were at Tennessee where he took Vince Young, and Steve McNair. So right now he is 1-2 in that department. Check it out. See how many players the Rams have wasted under Fisher. Many aren't even in the league anymore and of course McNair is dead

I have this suspicion that Stafford is going to be just what we needed at QB. Alot of the sports pundits think our chances of getting to and winning the snooperbowl just got way better.

He definitely was not mobile and he seemed to lose his confidence in his arm and accuracy going downfield. We have seen this in other QBs before when they lose key O-linemen and suddenly get pressure. It looks like Stafford is the kind of QB that if a defense makes him beat them by stopping the run he can do it. Where Goff couldn't.
I hope for Goff's sake that the Lions have a good and deep o-line.

That revelation you posted by Dan Gottlieb, Rambunctious is completely factual. Every bit of it has been corroborated by other sports pundits and franchise officials league-wide. The Rams really had to move on Goff this off-season. Going forward with him would have been a complete long-term disaster on many fronts and I give kudos to McSnead for pulling the trigger even though we will again miss out some real blue chippers that we will probably get later through, you guess it, trading our number ones.

At least I feel now that I have something to look forward to next season. A QB that is better than Goff and with more game time experience under pressure.
