I believe there's been one back to back in the NHL playoffs if I'm not mistaken.

They wanted a game last Saturday night. Since there were no game 7s, the only other option was to begin the series. I don't think its a big deal.

When I first started following basketball in the 1980's, it seemed like every series had games played every other day. Nowadays it seems to only happen for the conference finals and finals. I believe that the NBA made the change in order to maximize TV exposure in the earlier rounds.

I remember it used to be every other day and two days of when they swith cities. But this is the new NBA. Just like how star players are taking a lot of games off during the season because they are tired lol.

It's a TV thing for the first two rounds. Last year the Warriors-Rockets conference finals had games every other day.

These playoff schedules make absolutely no sense....Teams will be on their 4th game in their series, while another team is only on their 2nd. I feel like a team will play 2 games within about a 4 day span, then suddenly you forget about that series because its another 6 days before they play again.

Highly doubt Miami sweeps but pretty sure they would start the east series next weekend if that was to happen

Yeah that would give Miami and Cleveland basically a week off. If Miami gets this one tonight I could see a sweep but highly doubt it.
