At least the Dodgers should get him back sometime in May, but a loss for sure.

Will Dodgers pick up a temporary replacement?

Dodgers signed Brandon Beachy. A great low risk, high reward type of signing.

He's expected to be back to pitching in June or July.

Red Sox land Cuban 19 year old infield prospect, Moncada. Compared to Robinson Cano, I guess this means the Dodgers are still in on Alex Guererro and Corey Seager.

I really wish we got Moncada, but I guess they were worried about only getting Moncada this signing block and nobody else and being locked out next cycle, to me Moncada was enough value to warrant the 2 year ban on his own, but know we can hope he fails. They will be hot on the international market this next signing cycle starting July 2nd though.

I don't think either of those players played a factor in not going after Moncada. Guerrero is bench fodor regardless, and Seager is playing SS next year regardless too.

I do think the Dodgers will perhaps sign Hector Olivera, the other Cuban 3B soon to become a free agent.

Dodgers signed RHP Mike Adams to a minor league deal. Another low risk, high reward type guy.

I would like Either versus Crawford. Not the speed but could be better average, more power, better arm, I know Crawford has the big $$$ owed but so what at this point, just win games.

If Joc meets half the expectations placed upon him this year we are in good shape. As for Ethier, best time of the year to accomplish the noted feats above.

Joc and Guerrero have both started 5-7 at the plate this spring, encouraging signs.

Zach Lee and Julio Urias both pitched 2 scoreless innings today, too. (Urias 1.2 IP)

of course Kershaw looked like Kershaw yesterday as well.

Yeah, I don't know why people are so quick to dismiss Guerrero. I know it's a roster issue, but he can hit.

I've been one of those who hasn't been high on Guerrero, because of his lack of position and questionable bat (considering my only sample is Albuquerque), but if his bat is legit good, I definitely want him on the bench. He has more to prove to me.

Fair enough.... Kendrick may not be a long term option. So I am hoping Guerrero can figure out his fielding issue before then.

Good read in the Times about Seager:

Corey Seager impresses Dodgers with his maturity - LA Times

If this kid pans out, Kershaw's arm remains intact and Grienke sticks around - we have a nice core over the next few years. Maybe in three years we can be in the World Series!

I'm not sure if Greinke will stick around honestly, I don't think the front office enjoys signing guys to large contracts. I can see them flipping anyone not named Kershaw, Puig and our top prospects.
