It's not bad...but it's all grinders, and like one sniper.

Which is OK for the Pens system... management didn't create the system around the players, they picked players who can play into system.. (minus kovy to a degree)...

The Pens will not dominate the scoreboard... but as long as the D plays smart and Fleury is on his game... over a course of a game/series, those grinders should wear down the other teams D....

I don't care if a player beats 3 guys and rips a shot to the top corner or if a puck gets deflected off his face.. as long as the goal counts.

Agreed, but you can't undervalue the talent needed to succeed in the post-season. The Pens have that on D and in goal, but there are some MAJOR ?'s on offense.

I hear you.. Pens lacking top 3 talent for sure up front... however, 4-9 (2nd- 3rd lines) I think can match-up with anyone in the East. Another big question will be Jeffery... I mean, I made those lines up obviously, so I am probably way of what Dan will do.. but right now, I had Jeffery on the 4th... which I do not like.. Vitale, from the stats, was very good on face-offs with his time up here... he may be better suited for that 4th line center... who ever the other rookie is up front (Letestu being one) is a big question... and Kovy... So Kovy and the other rookie are the two major questions I see... Letestu on that top line is of course a huge drop of from Sid, but he's smart, plays within the system and plays within himself. I have confidence in him.

I have all the confidence in the world in Letestu. He's a fantastic young player. That said, he's better served in a top 2 type role (which he won't be in if Sid returns and Staal remains healthy), so it'll be interesting to see what happens in the playoffs. Also, I agree about the Jeffrey thing, but he's earned his spot on the team. I don't think he should ever be in WBS again.

Pix, don't get me wrong, Letestu on the top line is not ideal... but it's where the Pens are at... I'm not expecting a parade in June... but I think this team will surprise some people...
