Iowa sucks and hasn't played anyone.
Let's see, Tennessee's only wins are over Arkansas, 2 creampuffs: BGSU and WCU. They lost to OU, lost to Fla, and lost to Ark. whose only other win was over the University of Texas at El (intercepted) Paso. So a win over Tennessee or Ark. is basically a win over nobody too, if one uses that logic.

Tennessee is a better team than our record indicates, we should be a 5-1 football team right now
Tennessee would be a 1-5 team save the fact that they courageously hosted home games against those awesome Bowling Green Falcons, or those equally amazing Catamounts (what the hell is a catamount?)
Let's save judgement on Tennessee until after they've faced the Mean Green of UNT. The loss to Oklahoma looks quite good after the Sooners destroyed Texas, er, hold that.:pound:

I think it's rather dumb to only view things in black and white aka "wins and losses" rather than taking a good look at the reasons why and how they lost.

Oklahoma required an OT comeback.

Florida required a 4th quarter comeback.

And Arkansas squeezed out a 4 point victory.

Tennessee is a quality opponent no matter if you are smart enough to realize it or not. They are likely going to finish 8-4, which will put them in the top25 at the end of the year.

But you keep on focusing on all that crap you said.

Ah, http://sportshoop.la/members/4down20.4629/, my good friend. you do make a point. After all, Tennessee is a power program, they boast a huge athletic budget and share in all of the advantages of SEC membership. I don't argue with you on any of that.

But in order to have a chance at a winning season, half of the Vols victories will come in home game scrimmages against BGSU, WCU, and UNT.

The SEC has such strong SOS ratings for one reason only, nearly all of the teams in the conference pad their records with 3 gimmie games, at home against, shall we say, suspect competition?

Then you boast "SOS" counting a win over Tennessee or Arkansas as big ones, when in fact, Tennessee is really a 1-3 team discounting the home game patsies. Arkansas is worse, they lost to their patsies!

Look, I know where you are going next, you are going to lambast the SOS of those non power five conferences, but here is the difference. The SEC must play a conference schedule, and they set it up so that it's only 8 games against pretty much the same teams every year. They play one decent outside foe, and then load up on easy wins (well, unless you are Auburn, Vandy, and Arkansas). The lower ranked conferences must play one another, as does the SEC. But in the only games that they actually control, the SEC (they aren't alone, by the way) lines up mostly blood donors.

We've tread this ground numerous times before, you still lean on your SOS numbers, I patiently try to explain why they aren't the best stat to use, and you consistently ignore what I say.

Fair enough, have a wonderful day, I need to get to work.

But what you don't seem to understand is that while Tennessee is 3-3 they are actually improved this year over last year. They have played the hardest part of their schedule, they probably have 1 more loss left on the season vs Alabama and other than that - they could easily win the rest of their games and finish the season 8-4.

And that is while he has had to rebuild the program over the years. I've heard directly from people in their AD that Dooley and his staff knew they were being fired the whole last year they were there. They didn't put effort into hardly anything, much less recruiting or preparing for the next year. They got screwed over hard.

Meanwhile, Fitz has been at Northwestern all those year and is coming off 2 5 win seasons now - which started in his 8th year @ Northwestern. Most coaches at competitive schools wouldn't survive the 1st 5 win season, much less the second.

Please tell me who in the fuck has ever offered Fitz a better job?
No one. Because he won't ever leave. However in 2013 both Texas and USC inquired and he told them to get lost

No they didn't and no he didn't.

In 2013 his named was pushed around by the media in the preseason after they had their most successful season ever with 10 wins and his only bowl win ever. Then they finished the season with 5 wins and nobody gave a shit at the end of the year.

He played for Texas, if the offer was there he would have taken it.

the "Team A,B,C principle is known as the transitive property. And it's a long time running joke in college football for being terrible.

You can literally make it so any team is better than another team with it.

My Team Is Better Than Your Team - The Transitive Property of Sports

But:

Iowa #6 is a joke.

Iowa doesn't even belong in the top20. 20-25 is about right.

And then you have Alabama #21.

So you really think Iowa is that much better than Alabama? Iowa would lose about 40-0 to Alabama. They struggled with Illinois this past weekend and won 29-20. And you really think that team can hang with Alabama - even when we are playing bad? To the point where Alabama is not even a top20 team?

Your rankings are terrible.

Good luck scoring 40 on Iowa.

All I know, the only thing that matters is what team is hot at the right time. Whatever team is hot right now, doesnt matter at all. Michigan and Baylor are those teams, but it does no good if they arent playing their best in November.

This is factually incorrect and it makes me wonder if I should take any of your posts serious or if you typically just make things up because they help your argument.

Well hey, post a link. I'm not opposed to learning new things. I only remember media folks bringing him up at the start of the year and my google searches aren't turning up anything else either.
