Quit checking me out.
That team beat TEN bowl eligible teams. Which I believe is a record.
So you finally ranked them after the season was over?

2 people who are known for putting out the worst polls on the forum had Northwestern #1. And this past weekend it showed just how dumb it was to have them there.
And then you have Ohio St #14. Which is about as bad as Alabama at #21. Ok, maybe you don't put them in the #1 spot, but #14? Seriously? Because they aren't winning "pretty"? That's what you think football games are about - winning pretty?
Did you even rank the 2009 Alabama team in the top25?
When will you realize that something that happens after the polls come out cannot validate or refute rankings? I had northwestern number 1 because they had the best resume through 6 weeks. Not because I thought they were the best team. That's what everyone who had Northwestern number 1 was saying. You're Never going to understand some peoples rankings until you realize that not everyone has the same criteria as you (including the committee)
They didn't have the best resume. It was all fluff as was pointed out BEFORE this week and why it was said during LAST week it was a terrible and stupid ranking.
I understand lots of peoples rankings. I just point out the ones that are dumb.
They had beaten 8 before they played Florida. And I was brand new to the boards on ESPN in 2009. I didn't even do polls for a while. I mean, I'm still in college. As a matter of fact, I didn't even do rankings until I came to this board. So you finally ranked them after the season was over?
If you think a resume is based off of who had the best wins and losses, Northwestern had a top 5 resume last week
If you are stupid and pretend like every team is magically equal at the end of the year rather than using common sense that says - well that team may be 2-3, but they are a much better opponent than that 5-0 team.

Yeah because it's better to be completely blind rather than just had a bad vision.
Eh, Pitt and Wisky are both fringe Top 25 teams. Just like 2 best teams Bama beat. Only difference in the 2 schedules is Bama lost to the only legit top 25 team either team has playedIowa sucks and hasn't played anyone.
Yep. It's better to use what we know rather than what we think we know.
But, I did my rankings differently this week. Tried to ignore the resume a little more and use the eye test a little more

You do know, you just pretend like you don't.
It's not a surprise Northwestern got killed by Michgian - unless you pretend like you don't know about the teams in general.
No of course they aren't equal. Alabama lost.If you think Iowa and Alabama have had similar performances while playing what you call equal opponents then I don't know what games you are watching.
