Tonite, Liriano v Latos

This team needs to start walking the walk and stop talking the talk.

I'll take the guy that walks more, and talks less, than any other Red.. Joey Votto.

In case nobody noticed, St. Louis had 3 with Miami, 3 with Houston, 3 with the Cubs and now are playing San Diego, which just lost 9 or 10 in a row. The result: They WON most of those games against weak teams and are now in pretty good shape. It came right when the team needed its pitching to get a boost. Then came the break and all of them got a rest.

And here we are, facing Liriano tonight ... yeah, I really like our odds of moving into contention.

That said, I will go for the bullpen for a collective SOTG effort.

Parra appears to be fairly cerebral. He's probably a better pitcher than he's shown and I think it takes a bit of time to learn how to be a Loogy.

He certainly has the stuff to get people out. I wasn't aware of his mid 90s heater until he came off the DL....
