Yes.

Yes...for a good team such as NE...the soft DIV gives you a leg up on the other AFC contenders when it comes to home field through out, conf record tiebreakers, etc.

For a team with a bad '14 record like say, ATL. They have solid pcs, but injuries, bad HC moves, and a bad DEF resulted in a terrible record...this season they get to play teams that probably have more deficiencies than they do...so it's possible they will have a better record than what the roster should suggest...typically you will get exposed come playoff time.
Patriots winning % against AFCN 2 of 2 = 100%
Patriots winning % against the league 17 - 4 - 81%
Patriots winning % against the AFCE 4 - 2 = 67%

Keep throwing this crap up there - maybe it will stick!
It sure feels better than admitting that the Patriots are just good......

South...I'm not one to have a inferiority complex over the Pats. I've seen the highs and the lows of NE and PIT and I'm okay there.

Spin numbers to make a point...I hear ya...the fact is aside from the Jets blip, that no one else in the AFCE has won shit in the last decade+...and yes, the Patriots are just good...but when the other 3 teams have sucked for so long so...it's noteworthy.
