You’re going by stats, usually the team that wins twice is the better team, the higher seed and at home playing game 3, I’m talking strategy wise, you have 2 games of film study to go over how you failed, it can help give you a better chance …

At this point, is it fair to question whether Lamar is refusing to play because he doesn't have a long-term contract?

Who knows at this point. PCL sprains can be tricky, like any injury. I know there was an article from the Bengals/Ravens game last week, where someone came up to the reporter and said they got a grade 1 sprain in week 1, and his knee still didn't feel right. I believe LJ has a grade 2 - and of course, that's a big part of his game....

But, missing a bunch of games to injury isn't likely the best way to show a team that you deserve 100% guaranteed contract (which I believe was a sticking point for LJ and the Ravens). If you are going to miss 2-3-4 games, and have it impact the biggest part of your game (legs) - hard for any team to wrap up that much money at one spot - if you do, you want to be sure you are getting 100% out of that investment. Missed 5 games last year. Missed 5+ this year....

The one thing about the Seahawks vs 49rs matchup I like is it’s never easy beating a team 3 times in one season, usually the losing team makes adjustments and learns from the losses… BUT it won’t surprise me if the 49rs beat us again, that defense they have is gonna make life hard on Geno… And can we stop the run on defense and put the game on Purdy’s shoulders ? Another question mark … Hopefully we make it competitive, that’s all I want, at least stay in the game long enough to give ourselves a shot at the end … I have no expectations though, Niners have been the better team all year …

Game plan vs the Seahawks should be run focused anyway. They struggle to stop the run especially of late. Additionally, Seahawks need the air to have a chance. I would say that’s a solid weather report for Niners.
