I agree but on the flip it still pisses me off. Sanders would definitely be a solid player for us but why not pay a little more than that a few months ago and have a legitimate starting RB? It's really going to be hard to make an educated decision on whether Rico, Zeke, Deuce, etc when they are going against 2nd and 3rd stringers in preseason

Unless you have access to a Time Machine, all you can do is try to fix things going forward. Don't refuse to do something that will make the team better to try and defend your errors of the past.

100% right, but it's just hard to watch what looks like another solid team but certainly not a Super Bowl team rolled out because the owner is not, well, all in

Yep. Nationally he was thought to have had a down year as a lead back but he was just banged up. TP still has juice for a couple of great years IMO

The 3rd round LB did not impress me one bit in the first pre season game. Kind of pisses me off. We got the line now to bully people and no reliable #1 RB. Liafuo looked bad too me in that game

I was listening to the NFL radio this week and the host was saying how shocked he was that the Cowboys didn't select Wright in the 3rd. I guess we shall see

I was listening to Voch/Broaddus on a pod cast, for whatever their opinion is worth, they said the film they watched on Phillips last year was outstanding. Watched him against Dallas and tye Eagles, when he was split out wide he gave Tyron trouble, when he was playing inside he gave Kelce fits. If he can play at thar level for Dallas, the Cowboys are in business on defense

I read somewhere he was the lowest graded DT on PFF. I'm not sure if that is true but his grade was 35.8. 12 tackles in 392 snaps. Hopefully he does a good job for us

That's wild. Hopefully he still has a little juice. I think at this stage of the game, Phillips and Lawson are good signings. If PFF has him pegged right, Linval Joseph is still out there

well. If he ends up being a waste of space. This (voided) trade will cost us nothing.
if Phillips is even marginally better. The actual trade still pushes us in the right direction. Cost to keep him isnt much in the trade.
Either way we arent selling the future to find out.
