maybe McCarthy ain't such shit afterall. Need 4 games to confirm, but Dak seems happy with the play caller thus far
Best thing he did was take over play calling. He was always a great play caller. That wasn't on him though, that was some Jerry shit with Moore
thing is...most Cowboy fans wanted Moore with little faith in McCarthy.
Media Driven.

Now?

well, Rodgers still hasn't won another without McCarthy.

I think the simpler offense was seen by most as a good change all offseason. There was too much confusion all of the time the last couple of years and whether that was Dak or the receivers doesn't really matter because it was there. Game day management was/is the issue from my seat for both myself and many others with the HC. Let's see how the time management and 4th down decisions go if one of the next 4 is a close one. And it isn't whether it works or not that makes it a good call and it isn't 2nd guessing unless you are in someone living room watching. Seems to me the STs Coordinator has been a lot closer to the HC at the end of the half and game the last half season or so. I wonder if that is real or imagined on my part

Michael's lost me bringing up the refs every single play like a whiny fan whose team was getting the short end of the calls. He made a big problem a bigger problem and that's a "no-no" in my book

I always thought Mac was a great play caller. Only negative about him was late game game management. That's still a big question for him IMO. Otherwise, he's done a great job

again...playing the field is a smart bet. Darn shame you can't tune in to daily DFW sports talk.

I'm not a sports talk guy even though available online so I could be off. I find it even worse than social media. It's like the same comments and complaints coming from the same morons or people just ball washing the hosts who are only slightly less clueless than their callers.

I can't complain much about Mccarthys offense . It took about a month for the offense to come alive. I like the change. Dak was called a system QB for years. He has proven otherwise . I think what Dak does well fits Mikes scheme better. Also helping matters is the OL playing as a cohesive unit.

I will say that McCarthy is a way better HC and play caller than Garrot ever was

Previous play caller not doing all that well in San Diego?

Are you saying Fassel might be taking that role at the end of halves. I have not noticed this. It seems like i disagreed with Mac for passing late vs Seattle on a third down. Now that could have been the Crown and Coke cluttering my mind. I have always been a big QB and HC supporter though too. I havent noticed the Fassel thing though

No, Not taking that role, but more giving guidance or opinions that the HC can listen to or ignore. Kind of like a bench coach in baseball. Or…he might just have been standing next to him when the camera happened to be on him late.:noidea:

jarntt knows all that and smart enough to understand to avoid it.

Since I record everything I watch, I can go back and review things on my own. So I’ve basically stopped watching sports news, reading sports news more or less, and listening to mouthpieces talk sports on the radio.
I’ll do a quick search for items/games that I might’ve missed because they weren’t on any channel I have. But I don’t spend any time listening to talking heads jabber about sports.

Man… I’ve tried 105.3 multiple times when traveling up and down Central and I just can’t do it. It’s awful. I do use Audacy for listening to Cowboys & Rangers live streams when I’m out of pocket and the local Rock station which is about the only music streaming I do. But The Fan is just terrible.

5 minutes in I start talking to the radio. I know...fits the old man profile.

problem for Broudus was a graduate from W T White, but thats a whole other story. Guy can not help himself.
When he first re-surfaced 5 or so years back on DC.com I kind of liked Broaddus. The last few years I started to realize what he was and can't listen to anything he says. Just makes shit up and some eat it up. Few are wrong more often

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, Los Angeles Chargers three-time All-Pro edge rusher Khalil Mack and Las Vegas Raiders two-time Pro Bowl edge rusher Maxx Crosby are among the eight finalists for the ninth annual Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award.

Each NFL team nominated one of its players for the award, which recognizes those who exemplify outstanding sportsmanship on the field. The award was created in 2014 to honor Pro Football Hall of Famer Art Rooney Sr., the late founding owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Try listening to local Philly radio. LOL. 1000000% worse. Except when Dallas beats them.
