So which hole do we try to fill with our top 5 pick at the end of the year?

Got to remember that Stanford just had 2015 draftee LT Andrus Peat (NO) leave and Murphy is light years better than he was. JMHO.

I would take FSU CB Jalen Ramsey over anyone, including Joey Bosa or Robert Nkemdiche, who both I like a lot.

Lions won't be drafting at #1 or #2 overall, IMO.

There isn't a single QB in this upcoming draft that is worthy of selection in the first 3 rounds, JMO. NOT A ONE. Not even Goff, for you stat lovers or media site guys who don't even watch many games. Goff is a product of Sonny Dykes system. He's super book-smart and has the field smarts but yo might as well let him go to the Bears.

Clemson DE Shaq Lawson will be a better Pro DE than Bosa, IMO. His first, 2nd and 3rd steps are so much more explosive than Bosa's or even Ziggy's.

Fla CB Hargreaves has the better technical skills over Ramsey from a coverage aspect but Ramsey's ceiling is so much higher. Ramsey is the much better run defender and blitzer, plus he isn't that far behind Hargreaves other than footwork transitioning into his back pedal, IMO. Ramsey has played all three CB spots and SPUR since playing as a true freshman.

Nkemdiche is a helluva specimen and makes plenty of splash plays that leave you awestruck

he's impressive above in those two until you get to this one below where you have to question his effort on too many occasions. He doesn't jump up to deflect the ball nor continue in pursuit fully all too often. you have to watch the full 16+ minutes

I don't know about that. Ziggy has been an absolute stud this year. Only guy worthy of a big extension.

The touchdown catch was awesome. I'd start him over J. Bell right now.

Oh yeah, I'd give him a shot on defense too.

Players to keep your eye out for in upcoming weeks, IMO solely.

Today @ 2:30 CST on CBS down here......Bama @ aTm
#19 ILB Reggie Ragland
he's not Scoobie Wright speed wise, cuz he's 25+ lbs. bigger, but Ragland is one of the few ILB I would want to see replace Tulluch. He has been solid when dropping into coverage but today's game should be a tell-all with aTm's 4 headed monster WR's (Seals-Jones, Kirk, Noil, Reynolds) coming across the middle.

another LT I was keen on is

Indiana's LT #78 Jason Spriggs. he held his own last week vs tOSU and Joey Bosa. He's not exactly equal to Stanford's Kyle Murphy but it's pretty close.

Playing right now on SEC channel is Miss State vs La Tech. La Tech DT #9 Vernon Butler. I watched the kid twice last year and twice already this year. Plays a lot of 1-tech and 2-tech.

UCLA NT #97 Kenny Clark.... mostly a 1-tech but played some 2-tech and a couple plays as a 5-tech DE

Notre Dame DT #91 Sheldon Day.....
he's extremely light on his feet. reminds me of Aaron Donald, a little bit.

Clemson DE #90 Shaq Lawson .... already mentioned him

Virginia CB #26 Maurice Canady
Minnesota CB #31 Eric Murray
(like more so than teammate Boddy-Calhoun)

ASU CB #8 Lloyd Carrington..... you can watch him tonight, Oct. 17th, @ Utah 10:00 pm EST on ESPN

We need immediate help on the trenches. Taking a CB won't do any good if we have no pass rush. That's our whole problem this year on defense.

Wouldn't mind taking him if we we can snag a 1st rounder for Staff or CJ.

I don't disagree with you 1 damn bit on needing help in the trenches on the defensive side, Swarm. The draft doesn't end after the 1st round. There will be other DE's/DT's available in rounds after the 1st. I would have no problem with Bosa as the #1 overall pick. I just don't see the Lions getting Lucky to be in that position at #1 overall. I don't dislike Bosa with other comments I've made as that kid is an absolute freak.

I could agree here, however, it would depend on which slot# that 1st rounder came in at. I would find it extremely difficult to bypass Clemson DE Shaq Lawson over Ragland but Ragland would be a huge upgrade, IMO, for the LB crew and the defense as a whole. We still need a replacement for J. Jones (Bosa or Lawson would be perfect imo) as Devin Taylor is nothing more than a rotational DE at this time and most likely from here on out.

JMHO Swarm, after CB's Ramsey and Hargreaves, the latter might very well struggle with bigger WR's, there's a pretty significant drop-off with all others.

On the other hand, drafting a CB will always be a high risk gamble. It just becomes less of a risk the lower the round but still a risk nonetheless. I'm sure someone will chime in that there's always someone who comes out of nowhere which could and more than likely will happen.

I'm sure Lawson or Bosa would be great but you don't win in the NFL without a QB. Can't take another year of trying to win with an inaccurate, turnover machine.
