I have a conspiracy theory that the league really wants Cleveland to win this thing right now because they probably won't be back in the finals every year, whereas Golden State has the potential to reach multiple finals and will eventually get their Title.

Maybe he just wants to make sure Matthew Dellavedova doesn't steal the spotlight and MVP from him if the Cavs win?

Hell at the rate Lebron is going, he is going to win the MVP award even if the Cav's end up losing.

Figured it was just he wants to win one for Cleveland.

Yeah, but that's never been a secret. He said that was his reason for coming back.

Its probably something small like some grudge he has against someone or something like that. Whatever it is, he's playing out of his mind...basically winning this thing on his own.

I'm really torn. On the one hand, I'd love to see Golden State win this thing.

On the other hand...I don't know how to finish that sentence.

I guess Cleveland really needs a bone

When it turns out to be the dying pleas of a little kid with a terminal illness... you're all gonna feel like a bunch of jackasses :D

That asshole! He should be promoting this kid's illness so that public awareness and valuable research dollars can be raised. He's so selfish...

Yeah, and that's kind of my point about what makes him unlikeable. What he is doing in these finals, and really throughout the playoffs, is some of the most amazing basketball I have ever seen in the 45+ years I've been following the NBA.

I really want to appreciate what I'm seeing and I really want to pull for the guy, but he makes it very, very difficult to do. I wish he's just stfu and let his play speak for itself.

In all seriousness... the best possibility I've heard has to do with LeBron's son.

His son's team won the league championship in basketball this year... so its probably a light-hearted competition between father and son.

I've read that his son has talked some pretty funny smack to him after he's had a bad game, so you may well be right about that.

Yep, apparently he's been a harsh critic

I figured it out.
He wants to win this year, then undergo the Bruce Jenner makeover, then next year win the title as a woman.

Only thing he can think of that might elevate him over Jordan.

He could win 10 titles and it might not elevate him over MJ...I just think he saw they were competitive with GS and a little extra from him might be enough to get a title with a band of misfits.

I have a guess as to what LeBron's "secret motivation" is. I think his motivation is Steve Kerr, or more specifically how Kerr trashed him in a couple of columns he wrote in 2007. Right after Kerr wrote a less than flattering piece about LeBron essentially not being clutch, LeBron had "the game" in Detroit where he scored 25 straight and 29 of their last 30 points to lead the Cavs to a 2-point win. I don't think that was just a coincidence.

I doubt he would "trash" Kerr back, he is better than that. I dont think one comment about motivation would "trash" Kerr either. I just dont think that would be a huge motivation to prove to the other teams' coach how clutch he is IMO.

I actually didnt know that though. Interesting.

His secret motivation is that he wants to live with Manziels' coach.

I heard on the radio the other day: "He's basically winning a championship with the New York Knicks' roster."

And that, qualifies as a miracle.

Lebron is from northern Ohio. I think he just wants to win a ring on his home soil.

And it'd be a huge ego-boost if he ends Cleveland's "curse." They haven't won a title in ANY pro sport since 1954.
