If Penn State wins the B1G their resume is just as good or better with a conference championship.

Ohio State has beaten 3 current top 10 teams and their 1 loss is to anther top 10 team...

Penn State won head to head.

That shit matters to the committee. It just doesn't count to the Big 12.

I think Michigan is out strictly because they wont put three teams from the same conference in.
Is that a rule? I haven't heard of it. I know a conference can put more than 2 teams into the New Years 6 lineup, but haven't heard anything like that for the 4 teams in the playoff.

Sure it matters, but shit it took a blocked punt and a blocked FG. The eye test clearly showed Ohio State was more dominant in that game.

What other team in the country has 3 wins over current top 10 teams?

And Penn State is playing better football right now.

It does matter, but not as much as other factors they use. They use HtH in tie-breaker scenarios. I don't think there will be a tie if Penn St wins the B1G. They could still get in the top 4 with Ohio State if the right dominoes fall. The way this season is going, anything can happen.

I think you should have to win your conference, at minimum, to be in the playoffs... at least as long as it's only 4 teams. That makes the CCGs count for something.

No sense assuming Wisky wins after the way they played today. I think PSU beats them.

PSU wins then OSU Bama PSU and Clemson are in if all win out.
Wisconsin wins then OSU Bama, Huskies and Clemson are in if all win out. One loss by either Clem or the dogs then the Badgers are in.

TCU was in the top four till the last poll then got punked. We have precedent.

TCU was playing a crappy Iowa St team. #2 Ohio just beat #3 Michigan they are absolute 100% lock to get in.

In order for the Big 10 to get a 2nd team in they would need either a Washington or Clemson loss.

TCU was 4th.

Ohio State is/was 2nd. They just beat a Top 5 team. They aren't dropping out of the Top 4.

Actually They TCU was ranked 3rd ahead of undefeated FSU. The last weak of the season TCU was playing a 3 win Iowa St team while all the other contenders were playing top 15 teams.

No its not a rule that im aware of, i just dont think the Committee would ever put 3 from the same conference. I especially dont think they would ever put three in before they have ever even put two teams from the same conference in.But just my speculation.

TCU got hosed that year. In the Baylor game with the interference calls and in the polls.Realistically the team that should have been left out was probably FSU, but no way they were going to leave out an undefeated defending national champion on a 28 or so game win streak. And the committee was justified when OSU won the title. But TCU should have had a shot that year they were a very good team.

Not sure how you can think that. OSU did much better in the OSU-Michigan-PSU circle and the rest of their schedule is much more impressive with an Oklahoma win to go with the night win at Camp Randall.
