Thank you for maintaining a garbage locker room so that a franchise like the Eagles who have cultivated and maintained a culture of accountability can take advantage of drafting the best player in the draft at 9. I agree he would have likely not worked out for the Bears because they don’t have leadership like Fletcher Cox or Brandon Graham in their locker room.

I saw a break down of the Lions draft that made a lot of sense to me. They are following the trajectory of the Seahawks. When Carrol was new they CRUSHED the first few drafts, then it felt like they bought into their own positive press a bit much and started reaching in round 1 because they trust their process. Seahawks have since corrected, but I hope the Lions correct instantly over continuing what happened this year for a few years.

Seattle gets a solid B IMO.

Jaxon was a steal. EXCELLENT work on day 3 securing OL and DL talent. Loved Charbonnet in the late 2nd as Seattle desperately needed not just a backup but an actual starting caliber runner behind Walker.

Witherspoon was one of the dumbest picks in Carroll's regime. I will stand by the F grade I gave it. Hall wasn't terrible, but not great.

The trade Seattle did with the donkeys adds the extra boost to give this a B... zero clue why Denver made that trade so we get an extra 3rd next year to draft another CB when Witherspoon ends up on IR.

Many spots were filled with 13 picks in a 7 round draft but will have to wait to see if these players pan out but am happy with it

With a need for tight end they were able to get 2 of the top 5 rated TEs, a top receiver that is fast and near the top 10 according to the experts. I guess some say the #1 pick could turn into a JJ Watt, some help on the Dline. I guess the strategy is to work on strengthening the D while Love gets experience.

Wow, don't know where the hell you find out stuff like this, but it's pretty impressive to say the least. It gives a perspective as to how accurate brand name analysts such as Kiper are. Good stuff.

I graded Mahomes pretty low *sigh* I'll fess up to that one. I also hated the Russell Wilson pick.

I need to stop giving opinions on QBs.

Still, end of day it's fun to give grades and speculate. I admit when I'm wrong but also gloat when I'm right lol.

RD1 CB Great pick in Gonzalez
Then BB went DE and LB, I get that he is trying to shore up the defense and get faster but we will have to see how all that pans out

RD 4. C, OG, K, OG. Maybe a TE here would have been nice. We needed a lot of O Line help but two guards was a head scratcher.

Grabbed some speedy WRs I think we have 111 on the team at this point. None of which appear great.

Again nothing flashy, I feel we could have done things differently but that's just me.

First off, Bryant is not a nickel corner.. he played outside his college career... so I guess we're just giving up on him? Bryant was fantastic against the run but we saw how teams started to scheme against him in passing downs in the nickel formation.

Second, our biggest cap hits this year are in both safeties, if we cut one and convert Witherspoon fine, but assuming that's not happening.

Third, we shored up the secondary with Love who can play safety or nickel corner, so if that means Bryant can go back to outside corner (the guy played extremely well out of position last year) then why the fuck did we need Witherspoon?

Fourth, Witherspoon already was dealing with injury concerns, and is undersized at the position, so it's reasonable to think with Seattle's lack of adding beef up front we're going to be asking him to make a ton of tackles - which will further increase odds of injury.


Seattle has a TON of capital invested in the secondary. Look at all the picks we've blown on Adams and now you throw Witherspoon into the mix? And then the Diggs resigning? I mean thank God Woolen panned out. Now we're throwing MORE at the position with still major holes at ILB and DL?


End of day I think Seattle's plan was draft Anderson (evidence of the EDGE players they took), draft Stroud, trade down... and Witherspoon was a panic last resort. I honestly would feel better going in with Carter this offseason over Witherspoon - despite the flags. I think Witherspoon will be on IR by week 5. I'll stand by my F grade and will certainly come back to this forum and eat crow as I've done in the past...
