Fromo Roto:

Rookie CB Darius Slay is soaking up first-team reps at Lions camp with Ron Bartell nursing a shoulder injury.

Slay is likely on the first team to stay. Per Lions.com, the nickel combo of LCB Chris Houston, RCB Slay, and slot corner Bill Bentley "has been very good" in practice and "the moment doesn't look too big for Slay." When Bartell returns, he may have to fight for a roster spot with Chris Greenwood and Jonte Green.

That's what I like to hear!

Can he out run a Cheetah? I hear Chris Johnson and Devin Hester can.

That's just word on the street though.

I would like to see that theory tested for real.

Tune into the History channel sometime in September, Hester and Johnson are actually racing a cheetah for some new series that is coming out.

I guess they don't have to outrun the cheetah, as long they outrun the other guy :laugh3:

I saw article or news story on it, Looks like there will be a fence between the cheetah and the runner and they will use some kind of dog track (bunny or carrot) type thing to get the cheetah to start at the same time as the athlete.

It really is a non story, the cheetah will crush these guys unless it's a race for who's the fastest to 5 or 10 yards. Give the cheetah a few seconds and it's over.

Is it just me or has Chris Johnson always been more interested in being the fastest guy in the NFL and not the best RB? Believe it or not I traded that diva for Stafford two years ago in my keeper. Best trade I never made.

I was just farting around and came across a article/clip....Fucking cheetah can go from 0-60 in 3 seconds out running a porsche.

What can Johnson or Hester possibly do? Max out at around 24 or 26 mph. This crap is over before the 30 yard line.

Who the hell wants to watch a 10 yard dash?

Maybe they think they can beat it in a 40 yard dash. Not if the cheetah has incentive to run 40 yards, will never happen.

What's the best trade you actually did ever make?

My best FF trade ever:

Same league, keeper. Rob Gronkowski's rookie year. He was on waivers. I traded Antonio Gates and DeAngelo Williams to the guy who was 1st on the waiver wire that week. He picked up Rob, I sent him Gates and DeAngelo for Gronk and someone else. I forget who it was. Rest is history. Staff for CJ is right there though.

Two, calculated, yet risky, foundation building, long term goal oriented trades right there gentleman. Rob, did you ever consider trading Gates to 68, in exchange for his wife? Or peace and quiet in exchange for Gronk? I'm still pissed I passed on Mitch Moreland all those times. Hurts me to look back and wonder might have been.....
