I’m absolutely a homer. But I’m not wrong in this case. This is my shocked face.
We're all homers to some extent but you're taking it too far.

Yes. No.I’m absolutely a homer. But I’m not wrong in this case.
Nikola Jokic is the MVP of the league because everyone else got hurt.Yes. No.
Yep I agree with all of this.
Embiid was going to be the MVP if he missed 10 or so fewer games. Can't expect to win MVP if you miss 20 or so games
As for COY, you are correct.
Thibs, Monty, and Snyder are all more deserving. Doc rightfully finished 4th.
That's more like it. I've said previously his MVP will look a little "soft" like Steve Nash's do, for that reason.Nikola Jokic is the MVP of the league because everyone else got hurt.
^^^We good now?
Embiid got 1 first place vote. Jokic got 91 first place votes. Steph Curry (5) had more first place votes than Embiid.
That and Jokic beating him by almost 400 points in the voting says that he wasn't in the running. To be fair though, it also says that no one else was really in the running either.
I think we have found a meeting of the minds. Jokic was gifted an award for winning perfect attendance. That's more like it. I've said previously his MVP will look a little "soft" like Steve Nash's do, for that reason.

Jokic was the MVP. Monty or Thibs were the CoY. Simmons was the DPOY but they gave it to Gobert because every defensive metric wildly overrates in the paint bigs.
Daryl Morey should win Executive of the Year. Converting Josh Richardson and Al Horford into Seth Curry and Danny Green while only giving up a protected 2025 1st was a serious flex for Morey.
But how would that justify it more? My point was most NBA geeks don't think Nash was really the best player in the league when he won TWO MVPs just as most don't think Jokic is .Although, that could be due to injury too (on his own team). If the Nuggets were complete, they could be in strong contention for the finals.
He’s not even a top ten talent in the league right now.But how would that justify it more? My point was most NBA geeks don't think Nash was really the best player in the league when he won TWO MVPs just as most don't think Jokic is .
Joker is trash as a defensive player. He was still eligible based on the games he played. Essentially what you’re saying is because Joel Embiid had a knee injury a lesser player deserves his MVP award.

Name the 10 you'd rather haveHe’s not even a top ten talent in the league right now.
Good point. If Embiid played more games the Sixers could have won home court in the East. How valuable was he in street clothes?

Be more specific. Am I drafting guys I want going forward (aka age is a factor). Or am I just picking 10 more talented guys in the league right now this moment?Name the 10 you'd rather have
You brought it up. Which 10 guys did you mean?Be more specific. Am I drafting guys I want going forward (aka age is a factor). Or am I just picking 10 more talented guys in the league right now this moment?
