This is very good for both sides. I love it bc we are building a solid foundation of very young talent. In about 3 years we will be possibly the team to beat at the very least, east. Boston is building to win now. They will now get the guys they want via trade and FA.

Yes indeed! I don't care about giving up picks anymore since we have a young team. The process worked and now it's over and time to watch some exciting basketball. Future is bright!

Major kudos to Hinkey. The process is almost set for the future.

I don't think we are done either. We have a ton of cap space and still have Okafor available for a trade if needed for another piece?

Agreed! This was the only way it could be done to construct a team that will one day contend for a title.

I still hold my breath that Colangelo doesn't F this up.. Hinkey was the mastermind behind all of this and yet Colangelo is the one who will come out as a hero.

Colangelo is the one actually putting a team on the floor.

You get a real GM and he fleeces Danny ainge.

Does Boston ever plan to use all these fucking picks??

Stockpiling picks works well in other sports, but it isnt always the best idea in basketball.

If there is an elite prospect or elite talent, you spend the darn picks.

in any given draft, the league is lucky to get maybe 2 or 3 truly good players.

Having a bunch of lower rated picks that end up as lower rated players is not a great strategy IMO.

All depends on which side you're on which I'm guessing is the Hinkey side like myself knows it needed to be done, suffer through years of horrible basketball and come back with a young core of players to make this team a contender. People like Howard Eskin who bash Hinkey will give kudos to Colangelo but deep down knows how this team got to where it is today.

Probably uses these picks to get Butler out of Chicago.

All started by Hinkey. Colangelo wouldn't have had the guts to deconstruct the team and start it over the way Hinkey did. Hinkey handed the keys to the caddy to Colangelo, now have to hope he doesn't crash it.

I feel good for Coach Brown. I can't imagine how painful it must of felt going through shit basketball the first few years. Money isn't everything. He deserves to have a good roster. Now let's see what he has?

Agreed and kudos to the Sixers FO for sticking with him throughout the process. Now's his time to step up and guide this team to becoming a winner.

Whoa whoa whoa. That's...not that great of a deal for Boston. They should have gotten both picks. If that's the deal, they'd have been better off taking Fultz imo.

On the flip side, that's a big win for the Sixers

Yeah I agree. Nothing is special about their end of the deal now

C's will now have Butler, Hayward and Thomas and probably still have a ton of high first round draft picks in the future just because they stockpiled so many. They now have a legit chance to compete for championships now and for a very long time. It took nearly a decade but it appears the C's will be back in the championship now.

That can't be right ... move up to get their guy for a "protected" Laker's pick? Assuming top 3 protected ... which makes that trade a much better deal for the Sixers. And they only have to give up the unprotected 2019 SAC pick "if" they end up keeping the Lakers pick in 2018? Seems like very good value on the trade for the Sixers "if" that info is correct.
