Rumours have it the celtics are trying to get more picks to trade for Butler

Celtics do not want Butler. They are trying to get Saric from the 76ers. They don't want Embiid or Okafor.

Also sounds like Sixers will give up at least one future 1st. I'm ok with that. They have 4 over the next 2 years. IF they can get some protection or maybe give them the lower of the two picks next year, I would be quite happy with that.

I hope we give them our 1st rounder next season and not the Lakers pick which should be a solid pick.

Most of the rumors make it sound like it is a pick swap and no players are involved. That could be wrong though.

If they give up Saric that almost certainly means that they don't rate him. I really don't think that is part of the discussion.

What the rumors suggest is the Sixers give up #3, one of next year's No. 1 and another pick. I would imagine that would be a 2nd rounder or 2.

I would prefer the Sixers pick but that's a quibble.

If they get Fulz for the #3 and a single 1st that's good business.

If the Sixers have to throw in a couple of 2nds then I have to think the Celtics are looking to go after PG13 or Butler. They could offer up a pretty compelling deal with mostly house money from this trade. So even if it is a rental, they wouldn't really lose much.

I like Saric.

But, either he or Okafor needs to be moved.

Obviously, you want it to be Jahill.

But, you also need a backup plan for Embiid.

Fultz is exactly what you guys need.

He can play off ball, which works well with Simmons skill set.

Plus, he opens up the floor for Embiid.

It's a tough pill to swallow. But, you trade Saric for the greater good.

I forgot about the Kings pick.. Either way, it's a hefty price to pay to move up 2 spots to get the guy you really want. I actually didn't think this would be possible.
