I think your last line states it best. But I think if they go into the season with Ciriaco or d'Arnaud that wouldn't be good.

The three sleeper picks all wouldn't be bad but just like Cedeno they are band-aids with no one in the system even two years away as an every day shortstop. I have a feeling this will be an issue for this team for years to come.

Would rather have Barmes and Cedeno. Let d'Arnaud get some more time at AAA, which he desperately needs.

I'd pick up the option on Cedeno either way. If we can sign Barmes, Cedeno becomes a utility infielder.
