How about Weber to the Caps for Semin?

I would think Semin and a 3rd pick would work. Preds need goals (even if they're just in the regular season) and the Caps could really use, well... Weber.

The Sabres would happily give up Kotalik, Boyes, and Morrisonn for him.

At least, I would, if I were the GM ;)

Is Brian Burke already writing his "we could have had him but decided to walk away" speech?

I don't see how Ron Wilson survives this season if the Leafs fail to make the playoffs. I also don't see the Leafs making the playoffs this season.

Thus, Ron Wilson will be fired this upcoming season. I think this is known as the transitive property of getting canned.

You don't think Tim Connolly and a few AHLers gets them into the playoffs?

Sabres fans really have to be loving the fact that two of the top 3 forwards on the Leafs are Buffalo castoffs.

Well, I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy watching the Leafs struggle.

I'll give MacArthur a break though, because I wouldn't really call him a Buffalo castoff. I think the Sabres realized that re-signing him wasn't in the cards and made the right move to pick up a couple draft picks for him. If anything, I'd call him an Atlanta castoff.

All I know is that David Poile has a heck of a carrot to dangle if he decides to trade Shea Weber next season. It's just a shame that the Flames don't even have any magic beans to swap.
