lol me too. I thought that no matter which way they went Poile would end up getting fired pretty soon. I think he's living on borrowed time in Nashville. Those in the West shouldn't be too sad. While it will suck to have to continue to face Weber the team will be much weaker and won't be able to afford to add talent to the team.

I still reeeaally wish Flyers would have gotten him.

Preds match PHI offer sheet to Shea Weber, immediately surround him with mirrors to distract from the rest of their lineup the next 14 yrs.

i just sense for Weber, 14 years just probably went from looking like an obscenely awesome hockey contract to a prison sentence

Accepting the offer sheet is far more devistating than losing a player, albeit a superstar cornerstone franchise player.

On behalf of the Atlantic Division and to a lesser extent the Eastern Conference, thank you Nashville.

can't see him being happy for 14 years there after the last 2 years but it can be fixed with both sides.

Maybe, but Nashville is a pretty cool place to live (regarded by hockey players as one of their favourite road cities to visit). With $110 million in your pocket, a young guy like Shea can have a ton of fun.

yup i know, I posted that earlier in the thread ... he and his agent werent stupid ... either way ... they were gonna end up with the contract ... i just dont know why one of his agents had to go and say he wanted a change to tsn radio in the aftermath

yup I know posted that earlier in the thread ... you have to think they can work it out and go forward in the same direction ... if they are even considering taking the captaincy away they should just fold the franchise

Mr Underwood needs to hook him up with some country 'tang

Whatever, Doan is still a better player, next..

Maybe so, but Bobby Ryan is bad ass. He just got some new ink on his arm yesterday.

With Pronger most likely done for good, you need somebody to stomp down on the opposition from time to time, and Mr. Ryan can do that.
