Thanks!

Hmmm...I'm thinking that no body really has a clue about what is going on. This is going to be a very stressful next 34 hours for me.

if I were you, I would assume Nash will match.
then you would just be pleasantly surprised otherwise.
bold move by philly, but low probability of success, imho

lol yeah, that's what I did initially BUT then I let myself get sucked into the hype. At this point, I will be very disappointed if they don't get Weber.

I feel like most of the insiders have just been giving their opinions. I mean, they're very educated opinions. They know the financials and the motivations of the teams a bit more than we do.

Yeah...welcome to effing Parise Watch. The first few days it's fine, then as it wanes on you realize, "Wow, I've put a lot of time into being obsessed over this, and I'm emotionally invested...crap."

I think the ball is really in Homer's court at this point, he needs to make a trade offer that Poile can sell to Nashville owners and fans, because the four 1st round picks ain't going to cut it.

I totally agree. I don't think Homer will give up Schenn or Coots though (nor should he). If Poile doesn't back down from that then Weber will stay in Nashville.

I'm thinking something like Meszaros, Voracek, Bourdon, and picks is what Homer will offer.

I agree with this and Homer must know this as well so why is it taking so long for Poile and Homer to call each other and just work something out?

lol. you are driving yourself nuts.
Nashville will match. end of story. be VERY surprised if you end up with Weber. don't be disappointed if you don't.

They will wait until the last few hours to do so (at least the last day), so that Philly's assets (draft picks) are tied up for the longest time possible and they can't offersheet someone like Subban or Carlson in the meantime.

If a trade happens, does that void the offer sheet offer, making him an UFA at the end of the year?

Nope. It would be a two step transaction. Nashville would first decide not to match. Then they would trade back some or all of the picks for roster players. The contract can't be changed.

Well it's a good thing that my hopes weren't up too high then. ;)

Broadstreet had something up saying that two sources indicated that there were no trade discussions at all as of today.
