Wasn't much of an experiment. Seemed more necessity really. Both back ups had their moments. I guess you could put the blame on the OC but he never handed the ball off or threw a pass. In hindsight playing Davis may have been the better move. But coaches are going to go with the vet 9 outta 10 times.

You are correct about coaches going with the vet! But in this case it made no sense, you have a young team and a bad oline, but you are going to play the vet why? What, they thought the final outcome would be different than it was? We weren't going to the playoffs, but I didn't need to see "hindsight" to see that there was more upside to play Davis.

The same can be said for Fisher sticking with guys on the oline that had no business being out there! The season is over, let's see what some of the young guys can do! If the ship is sinking already, old veterans aren't going to change that!

You maybe overlooking just how fragile a young QB can be. And starting for the Rams this year was no picnic. They may have saved him by pulling him. Live to fight another day. Just a thought.

We have had our disagreements, you love Sam, I don't, and I don't think he will ever be our answer, yet at the same time, if he is our QB next year, I really do hope he has a good year, or even a decent year and we grow as a team and maybe even make the playoffs.

I don't love Davis, but I think he showed signs of promise and I just wish we could have stuck with him to see if we maybe had something or not.

Obviously no matter who we have at QB, this oline needs a major upgrade!

yeah I really think with a couple of mean physical O linemen additions at center and guard who excel at run blocking we can get over the hump. only team to beat the Seahags in their nasty nest was Dallas. Because their Oline can control the tempo and wear them down. we have a better D then Dallas.
