Well, he does respond to someone quoting you as if it was his quote.

Never mind. It is complicated...

So you have no frame of reference here, Donny. You're like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie and wants to know...

He probably made an error in the quote but
joker is a player, not an official.

serena made her losing about sexism. excuses, excuses.
Not when all these players agree there is double standards. When the same players agree they as male players get away with the same infraction how do you see it as excuses? Be real here.

Do you know how many times she has been down and come back? It is her game that intimidates others. It is not that she is a bully even though as a strong black woman she comes across as such. But if you have been following tennis you would know that Justine Henin was a petite woman player who would disagree with you.
justine henin was not intimidated by serena.

we saw serena complain against cljisters, stosur, capriati, and now osaka, just at the uso alone.

disagree about them not being role models. They most certainly can be role models.
Why?

Athletes are the most physically gifted of us all. Humility is just not something you're going to see very often.

a tennis match ain't over until it's over. There's no clock telling anyone it is over.

Who's to say Serena wasn't going to force a 3rd set?

the reality is she was clearly outplayed, even outserved, and lost her cool.

I think you see it much more often than you are giving credit for.

There are many many examples of good sportsmanship and humility out there.

henin had a lot of success against serena.

serena is 37, with child, and overweight. serena going through the draw like she did is kind of an embarrassment to womens tennis.

Don't conflate issues. Do you know when she won the 2005 Australian open commentators thought she was fat and out of shape but still won? It goes to show how gifted and superior she is rather than the state of women tennis. When Federer dominated no one says the state of men tennis is sorry. Remember, Naomi had already beaten Serena n Miami this year.
Yet Serena only complained about the professionalism of Henin at FO in 2001 when videos showed Serena was right and that Henin cheated. The French crowd booed Serena and commentators thought Serena was right in protesting.
desert rat, some of us have seen it all and it is amusing for me to see all this reaction from people who do not even follow tennis.

Carlos Ramos has a history of making the same types of calls against men. She called him sexist and a thief and expected no consequence. What a dumbass he is.

Considering how long I have been involved in Tennis, I can assure you that Carlos has used discretion in certain situations like time against Nadal where Nadal castigated him and threatened him that he would never officiate his match. We are talking about coaching where it is rarely applied.

Athletes aren't role models.

When we make them role models then it allows us to stay stupid things when they act human. Athletes are there to win and maybe shake hands afterwards.

Charles Barkley was right...athletes are not roles models, or they shouldn't be.

But there are some sports that consider themselves above the fray if you will...you're suppose to win or lose with some kind of dignity, or class.

all players don't agree.

I have not heard of any player who have spoken on this who have not sided with Serena; Andy Murray, Andy Roddick, Chris Evert,Martina Navratilova, Billie Jean King etc. The only player who agrees with you Mary Carillo who wanted Serena jailed at the previous USO because she claimed Serena threatened the lineswoman which video showed she never did.

rodger federer who's 100x's the player serena is, is not overweight, and hasn't dominated for years. the last time he was yearend #1 was 2009, and now he skips the claycourt season.

there are some good players in the wta, but no great ones that typically come along once a decade or so.

the more talented women players have a history of being underachievers. they win a major, get rich, and then go into a shell, rather than striving to become #1. we'll see how osaka handles her new found fame.

oh yeah!! Shameless display of an unsportsmanlike behavior. One can never tell she has won 23 slams. Only hardware but no grace to her legacy. This rivals the tantrum Hingis threw against Steffi in the 1999 FO final. And this is by far not the only one Miss Fatty has shown when losing. The match against Clijsters where she lost ( not surprisingly) also has to go down the history as one of the worst sportsmanship behaviors of all time physically threatening to kill the linesman.

She is so insecure about her own personality that she goes on the defensive and calls the umpire a thief. Zero class.
I never liked that arrogant bitch.

Granted, in her day she was a very tough competitor...not sure how many times they faced in GS matches, but there aren't many that stood up to Serena consistently.

i believe henin had edge in grand slam matches. hingis also had a competitive record.

its a shame henin and serena didn't play more times, given they were of the same era. unfortunately henin retired from tennis a couple of times, and has a long illness, while serena fell off the map for awhile when henin was dominant.
