we went to visit my wifes sister in wash st. saturday/sunday and were pulled into inspection (unfortunately no cavity searches :pout: ) even though we're nexus holders ... border guy said it was random ... made sure this thread was not open on my phones web browser lol

/man ... what a depressing place that inspection waiting room is

It's getting more and more difficult to acquire milk and gas in garbage bags from our southern friends.

/Holy Hannah, gas is expensive these days (1.36 a litre)

Has anyone ever answered why gas never returned to the 60-70 cent range that was considered "average" toward the end of the last decade?

I feel like it just went up to a buck+ and we all kinda shrugged and accepted it.

Here on the West Coast, any shutdowns to refineries seems to cause a spike in gas prices (at least that's what I read last week). The funny thing is that it doesn't seem to cause the same uptick in prices in Washington state that it does in BC.

my favorite is the perennial ... "well gas is going to go up another 10 cents because they are doing the annual maintenance at the Cherry Point refinery across the border in Blaine"

never fails: our gas prices go up 10 cents ... and the price at the pumps in and around seattle dont change

/Im at the point where the money I made on tesla stock will help finance a tesla purchase :noidea:

There also seems to be quite the discrepancy between how much a barrel of oil can change and how much gas prices change. I know it's not a 1-for-1 thing but it's pretty crazy to see how little the price of gas dropped when oil went from $100 down to $40.

Well, Lord Feltersnatch went ahead and signed the bill that will allow the ISPs to sell your browsing history, location information and lays the groundwork for an Internet where site owners will have to pay ISPs to prioritize traffic.

Everyone should be looking into a VPN service, so at least when the marketing department for Costco buys your history, it'll all be gobbledegook. I have three that I trust, PM me and I will be happy to share the names.

Additional 'holy shit this administration is fucking dumb' context...
-The "weak" policy (even bombing people is now weak?!?) they are criticizing is basically the same one they've continued, so...
-Tillerson said "longer-term status of President [Bashar] Assad will be decided by the Syrian people"... wow, how would this guy be emboldened? (And how is that strong, exactly?)
-John McCain called Tillerson's comments "disgraceful"

So our Sec. of State and the ambassador to the UN have told the world we're not going after Asaad and they criticize the last President who... (pulls out megaphone, feedback)... ISN'T THE FUCKING PRESIDENT!!

If you voted for this guy, you should be absolutely embarrassed.

Trump's backing off because he knows Syria is Obama's mess and unlike Obama with the Iraq and Afghan Wars he doesn't have the added headache of a large American ground force to deal with there.

He has the added benefit of Obama's dumb "red line" to fall back on, too. Politically, the less he says and does about Syria is a win for his administration. It's sad and ugly but it's the truth.

False. I did not refuse to cover the story. But I did cover your sexual harassment allegations. Did you?
