Federal fuel tax hasn’t been raised since 1993. Why do a mileage tax when you could just adjust that tax?

Frankly, I’m all for that if they use it on infrastructure because we need improvements and it’s frankly a better alternative than all the toll roads that have sprung up in recent decades.

But totally agree on the ‘you’re a moron if you’re not rich and voted for the clown’ angle. ;)

The more hybrids and EV's on the road, the less gas utilized but roads still being impacted. They are starting to add an annual tax to these vehicles to compensate...

Something like 95% of all cars on the road are still ICE.

The gov't can recoup money from green vehicles by killing the tax credit for buying them.

Well, yes and no. The miles are more, but the cars are lighter and have smaller tires so they aren't causing the kind of wear you get from say, an F150.

I'd say raise the gas tax, and like most of these things - minimum wage, food stamp payments, etc. - they should be tied to INFLATION each year so that the taxes or payments don't suddenly get out of whack with their intention because they have to constantly be re-authorized. It would free up legislative time to focus on other issues and would help businesses, consumers, and government agencies plan for incremental change rather than having these stops and starts at significantly different levels.

I never said “give teachers guns” like was stated on Fake News @CNN & @NBC.

What I said was to look at the possibility of giving “concealed guns to gun adept teachers with military or special training experience

So it's an active/passive voice concern, then?
