I think RobBase is arguing semantics here - You could make a case that he didn't actually say that he thought the presidency would be easier than the previous life, rather that he just thought being president would be easier. The actual quote and the context though (and likely the meaning) is in plain sight for everyone to review however.

So you have some inside information that he was talking about something else. The quote seems pretty clear. If you're privy to something we don't know about, have at 'er. I'm open to hearing about it.

Ill wait for the full transcripts to be released, but I really think they are discussing his personal life and not his work life.

“I loved my previous life. I had so many things going. This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier. You’re really into your own little cocoon, because you have such massive protection that you really can’t go anywhere. I like to drive. I can’t drive any more.”

Its more work to enjoy the social aspects of his life while living in a cocoon, always under massive protection. Simple enjoyments, like driving his own car to anywhere he wanted to go, were easier.

Thoughts?

My thoughts? My thoughts are that if you're right he's a moron. If you're wrong... he's a moron.

Under the "you're right" scenario did Tronald Dump really think that as POTUS he'd be able to just hop in the car and drive over to Jack-in-the-Box for a late night snack? Or just go for a stroll by himself to unwind from a hard day of watching Fox News? Really?

How dumb would you have to be? Has he not lived the US for the last 70 years? He didn't know that he'd have security following him everywhere?

I think a lot of people like this human side of him. I do. Middle America likes their simple pleasures, like cruising in their cars. He's relatable to some people like that.

Have we confirmed that this is the proper use of the term? I'd hate to use it and look stupid.

Red pill is when a Trump critic stops being a Trump critic because they believe that one or more of their strong beliefs about him were false. In most cases, their own research leads to believe they had been lied to, and that turns them off.

That's not the point here, but OK.

So do you like the fact that he's delusional? That he thought he wouldn't have to sacrifice those things in order to serve in the country's top position?

A person can be human without living in a gumdrop house on Lollypop Lane.

I don't agree with your opinion that he is delusional. I think that - because he's not a career politician, full of canned responses, surrounded by PR people telling him what to say and how to act all the time - that we see the human side of him a lot more than we have seen from previous Presidents.

Like that video of him smiling, almost dancing, and the First Lady taps him and he outs his hand on his heart. That was a moment of a happy guy lost in the moment of life, and his cool as hell woman watching his back. Completely organic.

I'm just saying, a lot of people like that about him, and I see that here with this quote. Maybe I'm wrong. I'll check out the full transcripts.

Again this isn't central to the discussion we were having but I'll go with it.

So you're saying that because he doesn't have "canned responses" what we get from him are his honest thoughts and actions?

Interesting if so. Is that what you honestly believe?

What's the central discussion we are having?

Yes, I enjoy his spontaneous nature, and I do not think I am alone.

What's it called when the opposite happens (a supporter realizing they've been had)? Because it is happening a fuck ton more than what you are talking about.

Blue pilled.

I respectfully, and strongly disagree.

I think there has never been a greater divide in the Democratic party. I think there are a lot of good reasons to be Democratic - and I think the Democrats who are focused on those things aren't relating to these Berkeley riots, or the constant MSM focus on things like Russian hackers, or child predators like Bill Nye. These are honest Democrats biggest enemies right now, because some of that stuff just gets plain weird. And weird only relates to weird.

If Trump started working w Bill Nye, Blue pills might start raining down.

OK. You like how he means what he says.

Do you like the following?:

Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys wearing yarmulkes… Those are the only kind of people I want counting my money. Nobody else…Besides that, I tell you something else. I think that’s guy’s lazy. And it’s probably not his fault because laziness is a trait in blacks,” John O’Donnell, a former president of Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, quoted Trump saying to him in his 1991 book. In May 1997, Trump was asked about his comment during an interview with Playboy, and he confirmed that “the stuff” O’Donnell wrote about him were “probably true.”

“I have days where, if I come home — and I don't want to sound too much like a chauvinist,” the Republican said, “but when I come home and dinner's not ready, I go through the roof.”

You think these are things a president should say?

If so that's sad.

He didn't say those things as the President. I don't agree with the quotes. But I do think the man has matured, and would not say those same things today. Did you see the video of him address and apologizing about the pussy comment?

As President, he has met with Leaders of Black colleges. I like that. I think he is getting a lot more support from blacks, and women, than his critics are led to believe.

What color is the grass on your planet?

Anyway, you can disagree all you want, but even Trump-leaning news outlets are reporting vote regret is growing and are quoting 3-5% of his voters regret their choice. Using the low end there, that's 1.7m million people. New poll: only 3% of Trump voters regret their vote

Outside of one imaginary person you talked to on Reddit, I have seen no evidence of a person who has come to Trump's side.

Tell me everything about this poll. How many people were polled, by who, and where?
