OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi's Dwight Coleby is leaving the basketball program, creating a sizable hole in the Rebels' frontcourt rotation.

The school confirmed Wednesday that Coleby has asked for his release. The 6-foot-9 forward played in all 34 games last season as a sophomore, starting three. He averaged 5.4 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
