are you blind? how is that not true where ranked dead last in the league in passing

How come Russell Wilson haters need to make shit up if he isn't that good in reality?

Seahawks are 27th in passing yards, which sounds terrible until you realize they are 32nd in attempts. They are #6 in YPA and #11 in explosive passing plays. And if you throw in rushing yards, they are top 12 in total QB yards despite giving their RBs a ton of carries and playing a slow pace.

If you want to get rid of Russ, many teams would pay max money to get him. But you won't get rid of Russ, because John Schneider is your GM, not BKSBaller. But I'm sure the GM who just put together a Super Bowl Champ has no idea what he is doing, because that makes sense.

Some Seahawks fans are saying this is a bad deal?

Russell Wilson is worth every dime of that money. The cap keeps going up, and QBs get more and more expensive. Just thank your lucky stars you actually have a QB. :mad2:

who made shit up? im justing saying that the weakest part of our game is our passing attack our recievers are avg and pretty much all of them are undrafted players, russ deserves a lot of money and I would rather give him the biggest pay check then letting him walk finding a franchise QB is hard in this league. Its just awkward that the highest paid QB in the league is ranked dead last in passing attempts or not

A super bowl winning QB who is consistently rated as one of the best young QBs in the league and some folks think he won't be paid top dollar?

I think whatever contract he signs will have a very high dollar figure but with a manageable guaranteed number

For the most part, the core of the team is locked up long term. And they are still proving that they can develop young players. Pay the man.

Because Seattle doesn't rank dead last in passing. Are your eyes seeing something different than mine? And you call me blind, C'mon man. Do you dislike Wilson? I certainly Don't.

Ridiculous. I feel like athletes make way too much money. Yes I'm a Packers fan and I believe Rodgers making $22 million per year is wayyyyy too much. After all, they are athletes playing a game, they aren't coming up with a cure for cancer.

As opposed to executives in the financial sector who make just as much if not more by coming up with ways to screw average Joe's out of their hard earned money?

I do agree that athletes are worth what they are worth, but c'mon, they are ALL overpaid.

I like Wilson and he has done a great job but he shouldn't be making 20m+ a year. The seahawks are good because of their defense and running game. Sure there are a few games that Russell will win for you but he isn't the reason they are winning so I wouldn't blow the team's budget on him when they need the money to keep that defense intact

They should pay him trillions. If they can't do that, they should pay him as much as the salary cap should allow. I think he's selling himself short at 20 million and should demand 30.

I don't get this. Wilson is IMO a top 10 QB but he's not Rodgers/Brady/Manning/Brees, even Rivers status. The guy can take over games but he does that with his legs, which is a recipe for disaster eventually.

Seattle is completely out of their damn mind if they make Wilson the highest paid QB. Course I guess someone will, and Seattle wants to keep him. Guess that's what it's all about. When you have stupid owners in Washington, Oakland, New York, Dallas, and desperation in Houston, Cleveland, Cincy, etc. something is bound to happen.

Either way, a fat contract $22M+ a year will destroy Seattle.
