both local radio shows have taken a huge step back quality wise since the exits of Kugler and Schick. I like Sharp and Benning better when talking Nebraska (you can tell Schick absolutely despises the program) but other sports it's almost unbearable.

Sharp is absolutely horrific on the radio. I would rather listen to Jim Rose than Sharp!!!

Schick and Nick was a breathe of fresh air in sports talk. They didn't take the shit so damn seriously all the time. They certainly could get serious when needed but it was just flat out fun to listen to and even more so to participate in.

I always find it funny when people say the afternoon show went down after Kevin big times the show and moved to Jacksonville. John and Kevin are the same freaking guy!!! They are best friends. They were best men their weddings. The show naturally made adjustments with a new #1 but that should be expected. Is it the same? No! Should it be with a new host? No! I just wish I could listen to the whole show again.

As much as I love and admire Damon, I have zero desire to ever listen to that show as long as Sharp is there. Neil Nelkin's reason behind "changing directions in the mornings" was and is still a strange one to me!!

Obviously he's become a bit attached to them because of all the time he's spent following them and talking about them, but he told me personally he doesn't believe Nebraska will ever win another national championship again.

Damon Benning has some good insight, but he rambles and tries way too hard to sound smart with excess verbiage. Neither of them are remotely funny.

He acts a little bit like Stephen A. Smith in terms of acting as if he is a close personal friends with every athlete on the team. He acts like he's a mentor to all of them. I question how close Bo really lets him get to the team.

Let me just say I enjoy saying the word "fuck" from time to time. I also enjoy a good juvenile joke, but not under the idea that I'm some sort of bad-ass. Ya just gotta be who you are. I know plenty of accomplished, well adjusted people who are the exact same way, so in my humble opinion I don't think you can pigeonhole someone because they curse or occasionally enjoy childish humor.
