Agreed, and if you wish for him to be gone, which I kind of understand, be careful. I recall the Bears firing Lovie after a 10 win season and look at that shit show now. I'm not saying that's what will happen, but sometimes you just need a little luck or a couple things to fall your way.
Honestly I don’t want him gone either. I really wish the Rooneys would force him more to make better personal changes.

Fun stat: Fields has a better win% than Wilson.
Until this game when Harris got his 6th rushing TD. Either led or was tied for the lead in rushing TDs. And he hasn’t had one since week 6.

It's kind of a difficult situation. Because you're constantly in the top 1/2 of the league your constantly drafting from 18 to 30, so getting the sure fire studs usually isn't going to happen. You're going to be drafting guys more for your situation and how they fit within your system. So you're doing as good of a job with what you have to work with. Guys that fit in that you believe you can develop into something.

The Packers are in the same boat, as our teams are run in a similar way. We don't usually go out and make big splash free agent signings, don't usually go with the big trade and try to build from within.

Because we don't have those awful years, we don't get a shot at Nick Bosa or Joe Burrow and those players. So now what?

Yeah drafting in those positions doesn’t help. I really wish they would be willing to make the proper changes at the coaching positions. Austin, like I mentioned is the worst DC in the league. They had an opportunity to fire him and promote Flores. Instead stayed “loyal” to Austin.

Steelers have always done a better job of drafting in later rounds and getting those diamonds in a rough. They've never had a dip in talent over the years. It's how the coaching staff utilizes that talent that is suspect.

I know what you mean. It was probably 10 or so years ago when Bart Starr was interviewed about his coaching tenure and he basically stated that being loyal to your guys is a mistake. They're either doing the job or they're not, but since they were his "friends" he kept them around, which ultimately cost him his job. At least in his mind it did.

The way I see it, if other teams aren't chasing your guys, they're probably suspect and you need to take a good look at the job they're actually doing. You know, solid management practice of expect what you inspect.

When all your receivers run to the same area. You have no hope.
