She'll probablly get criticized unfairly when she makes a bad call. However, I'm sure she'll probably know the rules better than most male officials. Afterall she has something to prove. I bet she won't tell the Ratbird players who to cover and who not to cover. At least she'll understand the rule.

I really doubt it. She'll get criticized no more unfairly than any other ref who gets criticized, in my opinion. However, those who do it are going to get destroyed for being anti-women. Just like if you criticize the President you are likely to be accused of racism, or if you make a movie about Chris Kyle it's anti-Muslim. It's just how this works in 2015.

Honestly, I hope she does well and it is not long before being a male or female referee is of no consequence. In reality, whenever she misses, or appears to miss a call (and every referee does), it will be magnified and beaten to death by the media and online discussions. Hopefully she and the NFL are tough enough to get past that. Speaking of being tough enough - in the picture she looks like Jeanette McCurdy, who played a tough tom-boyish character that would be perfectly suited for this challenge! (Yeah - I shouldn't know that, but I have a daughter that watched iCarly non-stop!)

I think a few of the media will speak out saying she made a bad call. The unfairly part will come mainly from the uneducated fan. If she isn't in the exact spot fans she should be standing at will raise a huge shit storm if that team looses an important game. It won't be thd refs screwed us it will be if she was a man he would've been in the right place making the right call.
