best back in the league upside, bahahah
this season..........How is that funny? Thats completely reasonable
I didn't say that. But Charles and Alexander he'll surpass quite easily and quickly. You want to miss his first year. That's fine, but he'll never be value for you any year ever then. Just like Tomlinson wasn't and AP wasn't. It becomes more about the order the owner names come out of the hat. Without a top pick, you'll only be playing against him.Ok so you are saying that someone that has never played a down of NFL football will have a better career then Charles, Tomlinson, Peterson, Alexander, and LeVeon Bell amongst others.

We will see
Kareem Hunt crashed into the rookie wall last season, and is now dealing with Spencer Wares return, and he's a first rounder
There is some risk with many guys that will go in Round One
But you know what you're getting with Gordon, Hunt and Kamara.. a lead back on a good offense with good OC calling the plays.
Barkley is on a subpar offense who may be passing more to stay on games. With an enigma at QB, a diva at WR (ODB), and supposedly a reliable TE target in Engram.
Sure, the Giants may come out running to start games, but will they have to abandon that game plan by halftime? Does ODB start throwing fits he's not getting enough looks?
And how does Barkley/Giants fair against the first 6 defenses they face which include JAX, CAR and PHI?
Kamara, Hunt and Gordon seem like much safer picks.
Do you mind sharing whatever you are smoking?
Barkley is a legit RB that will put up good numbers in FF, but to say he is the best in a generation is a little much.
this season..........
COULD is much different than what's being thrown out there in this instance.I mean that doesn't really change anything. It's not like RBs need much development. He certainly COULD be the best back in the league this year.

It's a valid point.Passing off playing with obj as a negative is pretty absurd imo.
It's a valid point.
But the point I was making is that Barkley may not be the focal point of the offense. I'm sure he'll be a big part....
If some are arguing that Kamara is part of an RBBC and a team notorious for spreading the ball around...
And if some are arguing that one reason Hunt is effective is when Kelce or Tyreek is on the field to take attention away from the run....
....then WHY aren't these same arguments applied to Barkley who is essentially in the same exact type of scenario?
Naw, not really. Statement was he WILL be. Entirely different than could be, might be, potential to be. And in that subtle difference is where the laugh-ability liesNot really. Argument was he has best back in the league upside. SP laughed at that idea. It's more laughable to think that isnt possible than that it is possible.
He did say could, and I still call BSNaw, not really. Statement was he WILL be. Entirely different than could be, might be, potential to be
Than I stand corrected..stop laughing at people
He did say could, and I still call BS
And I do agree with you.Well im not saying that you should only apply those arguments to some people. In fact i think seeing how successful people like Bell, Kamara, Hunt, etc are with other dominant weapons in their offenses goes to show that you WANT players in good offenses and therefore having people like OBJ and Engram around is really a very good thing.
He did say could, and I still call BS
And I do agree with you.
But the fact remains he is a rookie.
There is a level of risk there.
So draft him in a redraft league ahead of Kamara and Hunt is a risk imo.
If Bark gets 100 yds on opening day against the Jags, I'll eat crow. And if he doesn't hit the rookie wall after game 12 I'll eat crow again.
Ha dealI call BS on your BS!! HA!!
