If Ryan Miller is still on the market, the Jackets might be interested. Bob may have tweaked a knee.

Gaborik. And Boll.

Deal?

Sabres will want prospects & draft picks I reckon.

There are two reasons why 1 and 2 will not fall.
1. Shootouts Washington got ties now Buffalo gets a chance at wins.
2. Loser points when Washington lost, it lost, no extra points.

3, 4, and 5 are a possibility but I doubt any of them fall.

Doing a little alternative math on the wins and points to take away the shootout and count them as ties (just for a little consistency):

Wins would be 9 (rounding up) and points would be 27 (18 for the 9 wins and 9 for the three "ties" that are the Sabres SO wins this season).

Pretty sure they'll want something they could build with.

Seriously though, how many times have they been shutout so far this season?

The Sabres have just 45 goals in their 28 games, and have been shut out or scored one goal in 13 of them. Saturday’s 1-0 overtime loss at New Jersey was the fifth shutout they’ve endured this season. (Buffalo’s team statistics show 48 goals, counting its three shootout winners).

So none of the individual records are going to fall, but they are still on pace to set the post-expansion record for fewest goals in a season and would actually have a lower goals/game than the 53-54 Blackhawks, since that was during a 70 game season.

Decided to dust this one off, since they're starting out so wonderfully this year.

1) Fewest points in a season: 24, by the 1974-75 Washington Capitals.

2) Fewest wins: 8, by the 1974-75 Caps.

3) Fewest goals: 133, by the 1953-54 Chicago Blackhawks.

4) Most shutout losses: 16, by the 2006-07 Columbus Blue Jackets.

5) Worst power play percentage: 9.35 percent, by the 1997-98 Tampa Bay Lightning.

Currently they'd be on pace for:
1) 33 points
2) 16 wins (though only 8 regulation/OT)
3) 82 goals
4) 33 shutouts (yes, you read that right)
5) 0%

Amazingly enough, they're actually ahead of Carolina in 1 & 2 and tied with Minnesota for 5. Though Buffalo has had 6 more attempts (32 vs. 26), so I guess you could say they're still worse.
