Well you are counting only home games for Georgia v Alabama and every game for Washington and Utah. But agreed they need to do something about the pathetically low amount of times these cross division games are played.

Yes true but you're still talking 7.5 home games each for Bama Georgia in 50 years and should be around 3 home games each by this year or next for Wash -Oregon vrs Utah in 7-8-9 years.

Saban should make Alabama a crappier team. Make the games closer where the fan attendance matters.

No, it's just another team they avoid.

Somewhere, sometime a meeting was had and it was decided if some teams don't play other teams then they all win. So it shall be written so it shall be done lol

there is a great quote in there, something like "People want to be the beast, but not do what the beast do." That's epic.

In the last 10 seasons, Alabama is 28-1 vs. the SECE, including 6-0 vs. UF and 4-0
vs. UGA. If someone is getting the better end of “avoidance”, it isn’t Alabama.
Most of Bamas games against Georgia in the past 10 years were in playoff or CCgs so avoiding each other during the season helped get both or at least one there. What part of that don't you guys get? Seems like all top SEC teams have a select few teams they avoid for many seasons reducing the risk for both. It's already bad enough that when two SEC teams play neither will drop much for losing.

Alabama fans get it. It would be GREAT if Alabama played Georgia MORE in the Regular Season! As a matter of fact, Georgia finally plays @ Alabama for the first time since 2007 next season after 5 straight games vs. the Bulldogs in the State of Georgia (including 2 Regular Season Games).

The point that Alabama fans are making is that it has benefited Georgia more than it has benefited Alabama not playing in the Regular Season - specifically in the Saban Era, as Alabama is currently on a 5 game winning streak (2 in the Regular Season @ Georgia, 2 in the SEC CCG @ Atlanta and 1 in the CFB Playoff CG @ Atlanta).

Point is this scheduling issue is always poised as something that benefits Alabama and rarely poised as something that benefits Georgia as much or more based on actual results when they do play in the Regular Season, SEC CCG or CFP Playoffs.

You keep using “avoid” as if it is some conscious effort on Alabama’s part. Fact is, we ALSO “avoid” Vandy 5 of every 6 seasons, but no one seems to note that aspect.

There is no “select few”, it is all of them other than the permanent game. The fact that Tennessee has been down makes it appear we “caught a break” drawing them each year, but in reality they traditionally are a top East program. When they were winning big, no one “lauded” the fact we had to play them even when we were bad.

And Kentucky! Yes, a team that has beaten Alabama exactly 2 times in their entire football history.

When year after year after year you give the fans a shit sandwich for the home game slate, why the hell should fans buy season tickets? So they can watch their thrilling games against Mercer or New Mexico State? The only reason to go to games in person is for the atmosphere, but one kind of atmosphere do you get with Southern Miss?

I actually like the Southern Miss game. In the 80's and 90's we used to play this game in Birmingham, because of the interest. Lots of good games in the series, even when we won.
