Captain Obvious Thread, but offseason in February.
The fact he still seems to have intentions of doing so though troubles me.
Why isn't there a No Shit forum?

Ryan Shazier and Vince Williams Forged Brotherhood out of Competition, Tragedy
Best of luck to the guy. He was one of my favourite LB prospects over the last decade.
He's walking on his own!
I'm happy that he's walking on his own unassisted, but he'll never play football again.
Captain Obvious much?
no shit sherlock
Walking? Happy for him, hated seeing the footage of his injury.
Love see him walking again
I remember getting home late the night of the game and missed seeing it live. So when I saw the actual play I was prepared for something bad. Even then I was sick to my stomach watching it.
So great to see him up and walking!! Football? Who gives a fuck?!?! Being able to walk around is miracle enough. Very very happy to see his recovery is making progress.
He made $9M since his rookie contract was fully guaranteed. If I was him just retire...
Based on the way he’s walking, I can’t imagine football is even an option even if he wanted to come back. Hopefully, he’s got a good financial advisor to manage his money and he can hang em up.
It is highly unlikely he ever plays again, but who are we to deny a man from his passion in life? However overzealous it may appear, I don't know how anyone can knock the man for using football as motivation during rehab. Whether a doc would give him the green light to ever play again is secondary during this time.
Yea it’s scary as hell to think he’ll be risking his future life, but we are still very far away from that becoming a potential reality. I think everyone understands that and is just letting him do whatever he needs to get his mind right. I’m hoping that his family, coaches & doctors try to intervene at the appropriate time if he does get himself close to being back on the football field (if ever). But right now everyone is more focused on his recovery, both physical & emotional aspects of it.
Retiring would likely crush him into depression.
