That's the right thing to say, the dude is all class... but its hard for me to find any blame on Wilson there.

That's not an INT you can see coming or avoid, IMO. That was just a a defensive player making a great pre-snap read, taking a gamble, and making a huge play.

It was a dumb throw, its the goalline and you're throwing right into the middle of the D. He's getting off easy since his coach is a dipsh## but he made a bad throw.

I disagree that he made a bad throw. You can argue the play call - and many have - but for the play they were running Wilson threw a good ball. On a quick pick play like that Russel doesn't really have time to read much of anything (other than pre-snap).

The defensive player guessed (correctly) what the play was and made a heck of a play.

I agree with Wilson. They called the play, but he made the throw and needs to take some of the blame too.

BUT,,this also exemplifies eveything that is Russell Wilson. He comes out and puts it on himself like a true leader would. I agree the guy is all class. Your true character comes out when times are toughest and I don't think anyone would ever question Wilson's character. It's too bad he gets lumped in with the "me first" cocky jackasses on the team like Baldwin, Irvin, Sherman, etc.

I don't think it was a bad throw. It was a timing route. The CB jumped the route and, really, physically was able to hold his position better than the WR.

The play call is what is odd. Though, I saw a stat last night that Lynch was only 1 of 5 on runs from the 1yd line this year, in terms of scoring a TD. That being said...I"m still giving the ball to him 4 straight downs.

After this game I have a lot more respect for Russell Wilson. Dude is all class. He easily could have throw Carroll and his OC under the bus for that terrible judgement call but he threw it... But Butler made one hell of a play on the ball. Hats off to Wilson.... instead of the brawl that insued, now that was ridiculous!

It wasn't a great throw, but a great throw is what was needed to complete that pass to Lockette given the actual window. That's nice of Wilson to take some of the blame, but Bevell is still the guy who put him, and his team, in such a crappy position in the first place on that playcall.

Just like Carroll taking the blame for himself... just not buying it.

The play call was bad but the throw was where it had to be. Sometimes the defender wins.

Now here's a QB that gets it. Some guys have been in the league for around a decade, and still don't know how to be a good sport after a tough loss. I guess as long as everyone sucks your balls no matter what, it doesn't really matter.

The throw was stupid. If the Seattle receiver catches it, they still aren't in the endzone and would probably burn their timeout. Stupid call, stupid play, stupid throw.

Yeah, it just wasn't a great throw, we can nitpick about shoulders and what not, but it wasn't egregiously bad outside of the playcall itself. Butler made a great play.

Sometimes, you just tip your cap to the other guy and say "Damn, that was a good play". It's all you can really do.

For the WR to have had a better chance to catch the ball, Wilson would have actually had to throw a bad pass, that would have been just behind the WR. Instead, he threw it where the route was supposed to go. The CB jumped it. Tip of the cap to him.

He needs to throw it low where only his guy could catch it. No excuse throwing a ball that high over the middle. Even if it wasn't picked immediately, it could have just as easily been tipped up in the air and picked off.

Of course Wilson is a midget, so he probably can't even get the angle to throw it low from that spot on the field.

Well if anyone wants to give me his phone # I'll be happy to call and say: "Scramble to your right, throw the ball away if the run is not there, then go over to the sideline, huddle up with Lynch/Bevell/Carroll and say, "WTF guys?" while pointing to Lynch."

^^^THIS^^^

It's a timing pass. The QB isn't reading anything, he isn't going through any progressions. He does a 3 step drop and as soon as the back foot hits on that 3rd step, he's throwing to a spot and expecting the receiver to be there. Unfortunately for the Seahawks, the Patriots DB read it and made a great play on the ball.
