I hear you but those where needs than.

Last year, we lost Clowney and still had a meh pass rush in 2019 and we got killed by RBS like Kamara and such. Taking Brooks and Taylor addresses those needs.
You need to keep your QB happy.

I know but DJ....

What about other weaknesses?

We take care of OL. Good.

Then how do we take care of pass Rush?

Then how do we take of our need at FS? CB?

I have been asking you this and you keep saying that we need to keep Russ happy.

What's more important.....RW or those other things you mentioned?

If you take him off the team they win 5 or 6 games.

Who exactly are the Seahawks supposed to find to block Aaron Donald?

The NFC West was the 'Group of Death' heading into the season last year. They won the division. Hard to complain.
Other teams have slowed down Darnold. More about the collective blocking scheme than a single blocker.

Wilson has never had a Gronk, Kelce, Kittles or a Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, Randy Moss. And that BEASTMODE thing didn't help.

In my opinion he is in the top 10 all time right now. The best of the run/pass guys.
Not sure how Beastmode didn't help? Baldwin. Lockett, Graham, Dk Metcalf...

JS&PC have chosen to spend the big bucks on RW and their D. Can't pay everyone. Seattle like NE hasn't hit on the draft minus the afermentioned DK. That's the problem.

Wilson is just trying to get attention. All the talk about Stafford, Rodgers, Watson he is just wants to be included now, don't forget about me syndrome.

Not that I think there is any way this will happen but intereeted to see what Hawk fans think?

Would you trade RW for Watson along with whatever other compensation would be needed?

Handing off enhances no QB's game.

Wilson has never had a legit STAR receiver, a Moss, Antonio Brown, Fitzgerald, Julio, etc,

Here is my thing...

Do we need Ol? FUCK YA

I'm i willing to sacrifice our off Season for it when their our other needs? NO. To quote an former president impersonator. "Would not be prudent"

I'm i willing to trade Russ: Hell no.

You mind if I throw you a question?

They've tried fixing the O line with little to no success. Drafting Olinemen and waiting for them to learn is not sexy. Seattle hasn't done that like other teams that have had strong olines have.

Sure send your question.

Going to multi quote this because I want to talk about the top as well...

You're the Seahawks GM...

How do you handle this?

Throw your Off Season in addressing OL and forget Pass rush or Secondary?

Or try to fix 2 out of 3?

Russ isn't going anywhere for at least a couple more years but he's not wrong on getting more o-line help.

I menrioned this to him already.
Graham was also a prolifent catching TE (well until he went to Seattle). Baldwin has been a pro bowler if I'm not mistaken.

He mentions a handful of superstars that span decades. Most teams haven't had receivers like that during their prime.

I would counter that most teams didn't have a LOB which kept them in, if not won them a handful of games.

Top end WRs aren't the magic pill to SBs otherwise the afermentioned would have more jewlery which they don't. There is a reason for that. Those divas cost too much.

And they have bottom 20 drafting OL issues.

Meaning the good ones are usually gone.

German Ifedi is a classic case of this. SOB couldn't go a game without a False start or Holding.

But this is the point I'm trying to pound in @DJ head...

At what cost?

Think of it this way....

We address OL. Great....

We lose in the Wild Card because we couldn't in Murray's face and he found Hopkins beating our Double coverage....

Then what

Well I'd be pissed if I was just handed that job with the cap the way it is and all the picks we gave away.

I'd start with the new league in March. Figure out if I wanted to target Oline or D? Once I have that I let the early wave of free agency pass. Then go get those mid tier vets that every team needs to win.

Let's say I tried fixing primarily the Oline that way. Then come day two and three of the draft I try fixing the D. Starting with the back end as I believe the Hawks pass rush got stronger towards year end.

I couldn't fix everything this off season. Seattle is in a mini rebuild. They have lots of questions. We didn't even address WR or RB where I think there are gaps.
